I used to know a Hairdresser called Dave who was a legend with with ladies, into the nineties he still dressed a bit like he was in Saturday Night Fever and drove a white Trans Am "6.6 Turbo" with the Eagle on the bonnet, sounded mighty but was actually only like 200 bhp !
Did he have a wheelbarrow, and was he a bit of a ?

A lady who cut my hair had an Alfa 4C coupe. Loved it, but said it was unruly on B-roads.
A salon owner in a nearby town had a new E46 M3, 996 C4S then a 997 Turbo
Another salon owner I knew was pondering ordering a new DB9.

I did have one male hairdresser that drove a Suzuki Cappuccino. He perfectly fitted the bill.

Then a rather lovely lady came to the house to do me and she had a Honda CRV. My current one is another rather lovely lady with an A45, not Austin but Mercedes. There’s a theme developing here I think.

The 6.6 was N/A, the turbo was a 4.9. nerd

A few years back I had a hairdresser in a MX5 regularly do close overtakes, on a wide residential street with nobody coming the other way before the anti-cycling lobby complain. Not stereotyping MX5 drivers, the salon name was sign written on the side of the car.

Austin never built an A45, it's the 'A35' moniker that Mercedes misappropriated.

My hairdresser owns the barber’s shop and she drives a new shape but old and tatty Mini. My wife uses a posh salon and the owner drives an Evoque. My son plays cricket with a boy who’s dad owns a salon - he drives a mk8 hybrid Golf.

I speak as a past owner of both a mk1 MR2 and 2 x Boxsters so I know a hairdresser jibe when I hear one!!

Lucky you. Usually you have to pay extra for them to come to your house...

In terms of stereotypes, is there a difference between a barber and a hairdresser? Is being gay associated with both or just the latter?
