I used to get excitement from my missus once upon a time, but she doesn't allow that now...so I come here instead! hehe

No. I’m able to understand that people buying cars do so for lots of reasons. Some of us are able to know that and yet still love driving and cars.

It’s not a binary world. My wife loves driving but isn’t really interested in performance or handling per se. She loves the freedom and ability to explore. Like just about everyone here she lives in the real world where cars aren’t on tracks or driven on their door handles every single day. She loves cars but for a different reason to the next person.

See. Not binary. Simple isn’t it.

That's oversharing Lee.

You're relatively young so maybe your approach is not quite right. Or maybe I am just lucky.

Every time you post you’re given a chance to show that you’re able to understand things. And every time you pass it up and resort to childish ad-homs.

Impressive.

Yeah I know. There's an age gap too but at least she is older than my Daughter. Just!

Be kind, flowers and a few surprises. Tiffany / Cartier jewellery or a weekend in London and a trip down New Bond Street. Oh and you have to buy stuff too.

Now back to cars.

Of course. It's the validity of that opinion that counts.

You see opinions are not the same as feelings. You seem not to understand this.

Your opinions about track driving aren’t valid using your analogy, as you weren’t a very good track driver. But yet you do comment?

As for over sharing I don’t think anyone has reached the level of cringe that you have managed rofl

Some people won't grab the olive branch. Maybe they are better ignored. It just detracts from opinions gained from experienced and or expertise.

Why do you have a problem with neg posts then? Look at the Urus thread, universally hammered but no one getting all prissy in defence.

TX.

I have no problem with them if they come from a position of knowledge or experience. Otherwise it’s just yelling at clouds and what’s the point of that? It just ends up being noise and no signal. Don’t like a car? Great. Move on and talk about ones you do. No-one cares.

I answered you earlier and you ignored that anyway.

“ Probably because some people can't help but make their criticisms personal - see comments like 'boring people', 'no-one who likes driving would want one' and so on, ad nauseum.

There seems to be a very strong refusal, amongst some of the vehemently anti-EV posters, to accept that some people like them, some people find them a great solution for their needs. Those most against them appear to have very rarely actually driven one, but instead seem to want to seek out EV threads to tell everyone how st they are.

And if bashing is allowed (which is very clearly is because it happens on literally every single EV thread), then responses to it also are.”

I fully accept i was not good enough to be a race driver, but still not too shabby around the track, or my career intention to work in F1. As it happens it all came good.

Cringe all you like. You'll still be driving that i3 which apparently you hate Just tell us why you have it and please don't say BIK. It's a city car.
