Most expensive car parts?
Discussion
I was just listening to a Collecting Addicts podcast from last year. Chris Harris said that an oil pump OEM for a Lexus LFA is £85000.00!
What shockingly highly priced car parts do you know of or have you discovered. It can be everything from hyper cars to what would be considered mundane transport for the masses. If the part seems disproportionately expensive post it here.

I watched a bit of the rebuild of the deliberately drowned Veyron, the new owner said that they had to buy a new screen as the original was taken out the car but placed in the car and then left/fell out the car whilst beinging transported. $16000 for a new one.
Aren't Veyron tyres about £30,000 per set as they're bespoke Michelins?blue_haddock said:
Plenty of parts on a veyron that have VW stamped on them.
From memory the airflow meter from bugatti is like £2500 but its the same as something like an A6 2.0 tdi which is £150 from main delaer or about £50 aftermarket.
Problem with that is Bugatti won't fit the Audi one, they will only fit the Bugatti boxed one. They know people aren't going to quibble and will just pony up the pennies. I remember that bit about the focus indicators, it had head lights from a Nissan as well I think.
The Nissan / Lamborghini headlight mashup is 300ZX headlights on later (non pop up headlight Diablos). To the point there's an extra little bit of bodywork on the diablos that covers the Nissan branding on the lens.I've got a 458 and also a Panda 4x4. I've found one part they share; the emergency fuel filler nozzle in the toolkit. They both use a capless filler system (so probably more shared stuff there) so have this nozzle in the toolkit in case you need to refill from a jerry can.
Watching Mat Armstrong's latest video's on rebuilding the Mansory Edition RR Wraith is quite eye opening, not only for some of the eye watering prices that Mansory ask for small trim pieces (£4400 for the forged carbon sill covers)....but also the extent of BMW parts used on the Wraith. I bet there are some excellent examples of pricing disparity there, for what will be an identical part. (RR don't even appear to hide or alter the BMW stamp in most cases).
