I like the chap that pointed out the Lambo Murcielago climate control unit (£1500) was the same as from a Rover 45 (£20). Was in the Pagani Zonda as well.
I was just going to say the Zonda/Rover 45 climate control. smile

The price of this mirror switch bezel in absolute terms is nothing compared to some of the examples shown...

However, in relative terms £300 for a round bit of trim is just....

One Jaguar wheel nut is £13 now
Top tip - there are Toyota ones that fit and are (of course) a lot cheaper, if you can live with the hex head being 21mm rather than 19mm.
Wheel nuts do seem to be inordinately expensive when bought as single genuine items. I remember buying set of 20-off Febi Bilstein ones for about the same price as 1-off from Mercedes, which were the exact same part from the same manufacturer.
If you have a Lexus or Toyota, a lot of the sundry items are (unsurprisingly) shared with the Aston Martin Cygnet. AM don't even appear to bother changing the part number. IIRC the same banjo bolt is used on everything from the Aygo to the LS600, Inc the Cygnet.

A pair of new BMW i8 headlights currently for sale on ebay for £18k.
That's slightly misleading though, if you mean this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/186399738901

This is BMW Laser Lights, a complete conversion of a regular LED headlight i8 to these later model laser lights.

The regular LED headlights are a far more reasonable £2675 each! hehe

I needed a wing mirror for my GR - £1,100 fitted!

O2 sensors for Toyotas used to be over £300
They still want £80 ea at ECP. Ordered a pair from Germany at half the price.

This was for an old MR2, which had 3.

Can't remember all the details but my brother in law's Q3 had to have a new engine fitted after it seized solid following a main dealer service. Luckily it was still under warranty so he didn't have to fork out the £47000 for the replacement.

Mercedes W100 600 Grosser has hydraulically controlled (not electric) windows and seats. The switches are around €10,000 each. There are 4 in the drivers door, 1 in the passenger, and 2 in each of the rear doors (for the windows) and 2 in each of the front seats for the seats. That's 13 switches....

Despite a concours car being worth $1m +, the business case to restore one would be marginal.

Plenty of parts on a veyron that have VW stamped on them.

From memory the airflow meter from bugatti is like £2500 but its the same as something like an A6 2.0 tdi which is £150 from main delaer or about £50 aftermarket.
Theres a mat armstrong video of a lambo which indicatprs are from a mk1 focus wobble
I think it's a pagani Zonda that used the AC control panel from a rover 45!

Someone mentioned about Rolls Royce and bmw parts, wasn’t there a wheeler dealer episode where they were sorting the suspension on an old Rolls and the part needed was stamped with Citroen.

Being hydraulically operated, the speed at which the windows go up and down seems also to be ludicrously quick; as seen in the first 60 seconds here:
