It's a big fat NO from me.

Tasteless and pointless sadly.

This kind of thing always brings to mind the line from the film Dawn of the Dead about the relationship between money and ability https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwlfMQ4HlGE

Next, they will be offering the option of a pair of shoes in the same colour as the car.

Behold!

Behold! Now with a 150kg saving as two crew men left service at her last port of call!

I get chasing weight loss in the name of improved dynamics etc but if a vehicle is well over 2300 Kg... there's only so much marketing fluff the car buying public can stomach.

As stated earlier, remove the rear seats, pop in a roll cage for the ultimate track package! Cup 2's.available!

(I also accept I'm not the target demographic but I can't wait for the (ultra?) high performance SUV's to just leave stage left)

For all the negative comments, have you actually driven one?
My boss has one, I get to drive it occasionally and when you floor it, it is in equal measure both laugh out loud fast and somewhat scary. How something that weighs the same as a small moon can accelerate so fast still makes me giggle.
Would I have one given the funds? No way but glad they exist.
This
Was recently on a lads trip to Dubai and we wanted to goto Abu Dhabi to see the F1 track and Ferrari World. So we hired a Bentayga as it was under £280 for the day split 4 ways. And yes it was driven just the way a hire car should be. I just sat in the back and lapped it up as it was a lovely place to be. Would not own one but served its purpose.

44kg weight saving - utterly pointless on something so heavy to start with.
It's reducing weight where it matters though, which is different to shaving 44Kg off the static heavy shat like seats and glass.

It's still an obnoxious pile, but in a world filling up with obnoxious heaps, I'd rather be in a Bentiger than an i7 XM dog shat ugly pile.

Just tax them out of existence and force car companies to get on building better vehicles rather than this bloated excess.
And what vehicle is better than this to daily haul a family around, get dogs in, tow a decent amount, and rack up some decent millage in the most comfortable way possible?
1. if you can only afford one single vehicle to perform all those tasks, then you really shouldn’t spend all your money on a bentley;

2. staying within the VW Group, a Touareg will be equivalent to the bentley for for all these tasks (being the same car on smaller wheels and with less tasteless chrome); an A6 allroad will be vastly superior.

How is an A6 all road vastly superior to a Bentayga? The interiors in a completely different level for a start. Only thing the A6 wins on is cost.

Nice. If I get a visit from "agent millionaire" tomorrow, I'd definitely get one on order, simply to p**s off everyone who thinks they know better than the people who can afford to buy one..
You do realise that there are people you CAN afford to buy one but would absolutely, definitely, not in a million years ever go near to one of these obnoxious, tasteless pieces of bling? It’s not actually all about envy, as many people such as your good self seem to suggest.

What’s so obnoxious and tasteless about it? The spec of this one may not be to everyone’s taste, me included, but there’s almost endless choices of colour and leather to suit your own tastes. I’d happily drive one I bet its a lovely way to travel.
At least these are actually useful for the job of transporting things. I find ‘supercars’ that never leave the city much more pointless.

Agree, this is just as pointless as a super car in the city.

But my main objection is that if I owned one, I’d have to look at it every now and again.

And if you think that the most drivers of one of these uses it to “transport things “, you’re deluded.

Strange that it’s advertised with a red interior for a car that is suppose to be about looking the part.

While I am willing to concede that at one time red interiors may have been in fashion to some I think it’s time we moved on and left them firmly in the 90s. hurl

Why? Are Bentley drivers all single bachelors with no families? You think people should all buy multiple cars, one small car for the solo commute, then another for when just man and wife, then another for when man wife child and dog? People may see them one up during the week on the way to office and say it’s ‘pointless’ but then it may be 4 up plus dog and kiddies bikes at weekend.

Same architecture, lower center of gravity, lower weight, better aerodynamics bring better road manners. The interior is built in exactly the same way, with the very same components, but avoids tacky looking chrome switchgear, sadomaso leather styles, and wooden surfaces.
Modern Bentley interiors are for people who believe that las vegas’ brothels are the ultimate in luxury and taste…

True enough, if you want to transport outdoor gear and bikes and whatever, the natural choice is the Mulsanne.

I've been lucky to have been driven in one of these a few times, albeit the 'standard' W12 model.

Utterly amazing, refined, near silent at times, extremely relaxing and feels like a leather lined bank vault inside. If you could afford one, you would buy it.
Makes it sound like a womb substitute. I imagine impressive depreciation here.
