Much prefer this, maybe in blue like the Fast Lane car.

TWR ?
Didn't they go bust, stealing everyones money and not paying their employees with Tom Walkingshaw being lambasted by the Judge for underhand dealings.
I remember my friend took an engine with him in lieu of wages, and someone buggered off with a Jet APU !
Glad I'm not the only one with reservations of handing 10k over to TWR, memories are short it appears.Didn't they go bust, stealing everyones money and not paying their employees with Tom Walkingshaw being lambasted by the Judge for underhand dealings.

Finally, something automotive related that an 80's kid can get excited about. I'm so tired of electric this and hybrid that. I still watch Tom Walkinshaw's 1985 qualifying lap at Bathurst on a weekly basis. A real racer in a real racecar. I do hope this new TWR is produced as promised...

If i had £250k or so to chuck on a new car genuinely can't comprehend why it would be spent on a faster (thus even less usable) evolution of whatever McLaren or Ferrari are putting out .... stuff like this is just so so much more interesting.
Is it though? If you had the development budget to drop on something that well-engineered, would the common-sense view not be to design something new, rather than re-hash what was always a divisive design? It always feels a bit "Britain's Got Talent" to me: you have talent, so why not use it to write your own material rather than sing somebody else's song?
That said, you'll probably never see another one (for a variety of reasons) and that's all some people need.

Seeing what I’ve seen of this project: this is definitely not a crazy price.
If this were TWR announcing they had a ground up car I think it would cost a lost more, and not sell either.
The XJS is definitely divisive, agree there. I think maybe less decisive in its crazy wide body Lister-like form.
Men of a certain age ( let’s be honest also the people most likely to have the money ) are more likely than not to love this I think.
Whether it has enough demand for 88 cars .. f**k knows. Good luck to them tho … why this forum spends so so much energy moaning about ever new car and then *also* commits same energy into things bold and interesting… beyond me.

Since the original was never a looker, this TWR version is handicapped in that department too. Still, it will be interesting to see one in broad daylight.
I think it would be preferable to see it on a very dark night, no street lights and no moonlight Edited by Oakman on Tuesday 30th April 18:55
