When we think of all the "greats", they are pretty much all 2 seater sportscars or racing cars.

I was pondering what the greatest 4 or 5 seater cars ever, would be?

For me, probably go to be something like an 8 litre Bentley and a Silver Ghost, but moving away from vintage to classic, maybe some of the premium Mercs?

Links and pictures for extra points.

If you can't have two adults in the back, comfortably, it doesn't really count but feel free...

The original Mini must be in with a shout, it heralded a whole new genre of motoring for the masses.

This always comes to mind,

The W124 E Class

Tank like build quality,

I've been in many W124 taxis in various countries, even with galactic mileage, the interior still seems solid,

There are less 4 seat cars than 5 seat cars.
Why would you want to broaden the choice?
Not every car has 3 seatbelts in the back.

450SEL 6.9

LSD, dry sumped, hydropneumatic suspension, 70's Merc luxury - quicker than a Ferrari 308 and twice the price of a standard 450. It was absolutely off the charts when it first came out

I thoroughly enjoyed my ownership of this... Bristol 411, 400c.i. (6.6l) V8, three speed auto'... (For its time) big, solid, comfy, fast, nicely built, good handling and just had the ability to make you feel good...
The XJ6 my mate owned would also be in with a shout, for many of the same reasons and it even had two extra doors.
Another mate would undoubtedly have suggested his 323 Alpina...
I'd gather there'll be a good few candidates for this one.

Bentley Speed 6?
Lancia Integrale?
Subaru Impreza?
Mercedes-Benz S series Mercedes -Benz 500K?
Honda Civic?
Mini

The list of 4 seater cars is virtually endless. Some changed the world. Others were barely noticed.

ETA Type 41 Bugatti. That's the best ever.
