Nothing to it. Just rocked up on the day, asked if I could have a look around, they obliged. Put into stark contrast the shear arrogance of Ferrari whom I visited on the same day.

Turn the volume way up, look at it.
Then come tell me it's just like a Porsche and the interior is ugly.
Tearing along the street in a built-up area at twilight isn't terribly clever.
I believe it's an arranged demo outside the factory. Plus I reckon any pedestrians would hear it coming!
That could be. If so, they are an awful lot of Fiats parked along the kerb.
It should have been done in controlled circumstances.

I know a lot of Fiats and Fords that should be used in controlled circumstances.
errek72 said:Indeed - I don't know of many that shouldn't be.

Guys
Fair enough, you're picking on my terminology. You can't make an AMG engine work without an arsenal of electronics, though, they're complex beasts!
As for what you can feel behind the wheel, there is only really traction control, apart from that clever throttle blip at low revs, but it's an integral part of the car. You are constantly aware of its work and, when you've spent that much money, it's no bad thing!
Not that I ever will spend be able to spend that much money on a car you understand...
And cars like this are bound to polarise opinion on the looks front, the Carrera GT and Enzo aren't exactly beautiful in some people's minds, but being boring would surely have been a bigger sin in a car like this! Oh, and it was just stunning to drive.
Cheers
Nick
Traction was not standard/ an option on all Zonda's - imagine driving one without traction
OK - what's going on with Pistonheads lately
There's been various posts from lots of different members - that basically have to put comments into threads - saying things like - oh that's not very clever, or that chap really should be wearing seatbelts, or he should have more consideration for other road users etc etc etc
who care's - this isn't bicyleheads or lameheads !

Noticed that too, is transport 2000 infiltrating?
Just so some of my tongue-in-cheeck comments are not misunderstood; my personal opinion is that if you want to be safe, for godsakes do not go anywhere near an automobile. Stay home.
Statistical truth points out that only zero cars times a speed of zero will make zero accidents. At which point people will die of starvation or will get trampled by a horse.
To put us all out of our misery, the safety freaks might want to consider killing themselves in a safe and controlled fashion so the rest of us are spared their miserable view on life and maybe have a bit less traffic on the roads as well.

Oh to be honest I wasn't expecting a tour with Ferrari. Infact I wasn't really expecting much at all. It was just the utter smug arrogance that pervaded that entire place. They really do think they're in a world of their own.

It should be a really great thing if Lamborghini was able to come up with a sparring mate for this beastie . . .
Like this one?
That new Murci 640 is a fabulous looking and nicely specced supercar indeed, but IMHO Lamborghini has to come up with something so totally stunning it'll make you forget both the Zonda and the Veyron alltogether . . . I can only dream d'Silva dreams that too . . . with a lump to match: 750 hp 8 litre V12 or something.
