Old tread, but I was having a Sunday drive today. I stumbled upon my first car parked up in Dorking. I owned it 10 years ago. It's not it too bad of nick (One wing mirror cover was missing but that's it, I kept it a lot cleaner too), weirdly it still has PIAA wipers on it. If there the ones I put on it they would be about 5 years old now. And the old 106 owners club tax disc holder is still on it too.

Hi all i'm 17 and would like to know the whereabouts of a Peugeot 205 XAD GL L378 HVM its had no tax and mot since 2007 when we sold it and it not showing as scrapped I would really like to buy it back and run round in it please point me in the right direction

If it's not SORN, not taxed and no MOT, it's likely to have been scrapped, unfortunately

I bought it as a lemon, needed new cat, gearbox rebuild cambelt etc etc, spent loads on it then traded it in and I believe it went to auction.

Strange, my old Pulsar is now showing as a Toyota MR2, colour 'Black and Green'?

Do they re-use plates on cars that have been imported? Maybe the MR2 is a fresh import and the Pulsar has been scrapped?

I received a message on another forum from a chap who'd bought my first Clio 172.

i bought it new back in 2003 and sold it after two years and with only 15k on the clock. The guy who's just bought it told me it's got over 100k on the clock and had some interesting MOTs but otherwise it's solid. He's planning on making it into a track car!

If it's not SORN, not taxed and no MOT, it's likely to have been scrapped, unfortunately

I have HPI Checked the vehicle and it is not showing as scrapped in fact it says the last keeper change was when we sold it back in 2007

Love to know where my old Boxster S 3.2 2001 (Y908 WVA) - DVLA recent history shows it is still live. Low mileage in the last year... wonder if it is up for sale at a dealer? Pic attached on a trip up to St Andrews for a graduation. Loved that car!

I had a 205GTI 1.9 for 5 years and had to sell it in full trackday guise back in 2005.
I hated selling that car but at the time it was the right thing to do.

First car: Sold to mechanic at a notch above scrap value, he fixxed it and gave it to one of his friends who needed a car, I still see it driving past my folks house

1971 Mini 1275gt, reg OPR911J
I sold it in around 2000 in Cornwall. It had a tuned metro turbo engine, straight cut gearbox, 4 pin diff and stripped interior.
MOT expired in April this year and appears to have done 0 miles between last few MOTs.
Would love to get it back.

Must've been in a hurry if sold to WBAC with your plate on it! Anyway, a quick search shows it was being sold by a dealer on eBay about 18 mths ago - have you tried them? Link to advert below...hope it helps:

1989 Civic 16i16 - Gearbox lost 3rd gear. Sold to be rebuild, Ended up being cut up and scrapped due to rust

1992 Civic VTi Import - Rebuilt from scratch. New arches roof, doors, bumpers, full paint. Sold to a young lad from Brum who couldn't insure it so no idea where it is now

1996 Integra Type R - Sold to a man from Brum, Never to be seen again

1996 MK3 Golf - Scrapped due to snapping 2 springs going round a mini round about and shooting out the side of the wing taking most of the wiring loom with it

1990 Pulsar GTiR - Bought, Checked underside, Huge crash damage repaired with wallpaper paste. Stripped to bare shell and sold to an American marine stationed here to be taken back home and be rebuilt. Car lives on in the US somewhere

1996 Pulsar VZR - Sold on to buy my RX7. Never should of sold this car. Lives on up north.

1990 RX7 Turbo - Rebuilt from ground up, new chassis rails, sills, floors etc. Sold on to fund my house purchase, Has been sold over 9 times since i sold it 15 months ago. Shame

1997 Mazda 323 V6 - Bought as a cheap run about met its doom when the clutch pedal ripped out of the floor and removing a large portion of the bulkhead with it. Scrapped
