Couldn't resist A grasp from the Brit section:

Look at the pencilholder in this well sorted Morgan Plus Four.

Wim gives the last instructions to the contesters, 83 times the same story. Saggy waits to be the last to start.

Superleggera Aston DB4, very impressive even at tick over.

Barnfind XK120 and Wim's nearly finished Morris.

Gorgeous little (I don't fit) MGA.

Healey 100/6 utterly imaculate and one of the best.

That's what I said . . .

S1 E vert with a 6 foot scratch: "Shit happends."

Mood-E.

And now; couch, beer, TV . . .

Bert shot a few fine one's:

XK120 like I like 'em best: a bit ratty.

The mint racer XK120.

Those old Mercs often have interiors to die for.

Chaindriven '34 Frazer Nash TT rep did the 120 kms without flaw.

Lot's of Britstuff sunday . . .

An XK120 DHC actually...
Of that type only fourteenhundred-something were built. Three of them were at the Klassiekerrally this year.
Same for the Countach 5000s: about one percent of all 5000s's ever built was present.

Indeed. This was a very fine example. Nice colour too.
It had an iPod integrated in the centre console! yikes
All done very well though, you could see it, but it didn't disturb the classic looks.

Thanks L100NYY!
I was expecting your reply already. Where's classic cars, there's a L100NYY
It was the best and most exhausting Klassiekerrally ever.
Next year we're planning to do something on the saturday evening before too.
Not sure what exactly, but it should involve food, drink and music

Those Abarths are simply gorgeous. Small fourpots with luverly styling: where are they today! I really miss cars with an appeal like those.

Now there's a Porker I like. Love those backlit pics . . . Lensflare: I don't care . . .

One of the three Countachs at display. At the end of the day this pornwhite interior-LP5000S didn't start. But when it did, with a little help of a Beemer, it ran as smooth as a Jag V12. The red one popped flames even at tick over. Mind yer pants!
But both were no match for the white one with the open exhausts though. I could drop my fist in the tailpipe. Oh, da noise!

Four Lambo's. More next time? Orange Murci arrived at the end of the afternoon. Now there was a guy calling a Spada 'the Christina Aguilera of Lamborghini's' . . . Obviously we had quite a dispute . . .
This car without no doubt is 'the Sophia Loren of Lamborghini's' . . .

Bit of a contrast, but then: that's what the Klassiekerrally Winterswijk is all about.

Tom had the day of his life: "Best KR yet!" Chuckled all day, and still probably.

TR6 over Spada S3 bonnet. Some 83 cars started and all returned, although I spotted a black 70's Porker left behind at the field. Wim?

Quite a lot of TR's this year. I've a soft spot for those ugly TR6 bastits and their glorious exhaustnotes. This green one was a bit of a quiet bugger. "Daddy, why are those other TR's sounding, well, better than ours?"

US-specced S1.5 E-type. At 9ish most cars were covered in early morning moist.

More to come . . .

Just for you then, this Fiat Abarth 750...I also had 3 Abarth cars in my younger years, but more "modern" 130TC Abarth from Fiat

Maybe legislation killed such stile excercises?

The ignition key broke in half. The owner went home (just across the German border), grabbed some keys, drove back, realised he'd grabbed the wrong keys, drove back home, grabbed the right keys and returned to start for the tour... rofl

Aw, there's that luverly Aston again. Superleggera!

Can't get enough of the Countach . . .

. . . or Dan's 350i, which was a bit of a revelation: about the same experience as the Sag. But with better seats, in the open air (roof fits in the boot!), with a V8 soundtrack and a closed boot. Off course does the Sag looks the absolute nuts and is it the latest state of the art TVR tech 'n reliability. But then, you could pick up a Rv8 Wedge for a fistfull of dollars and be bad. You've to be a rich kid to take a seat in the Sagaris' leather sci-fi interior . . . and wait, wait, wait for months to be bad. I dunno, for me the 350i is the ideal cruiser that can embarrasse a Porker any day of the week. And really, it does sound THAT good. Look at those wheels. Only on 20 TVR's . . .

GULF-dressed and pointing out the parking spaces, what a nice job for a sunny sunday.

Another nice Porker. Scary: they grow on me . . .

I have seen the very same Bugatti T35C in the flesh. Very nice car. Shame it had a clutch problem when i came across it.

Would never have guessed it was a rep.

Last set of pics. A well documented event I should think

Countachs: works of art when parked. Strange insects when on the move. At speed there's nothing like 'em.

Those big ole Mercs sure have an aura of their own. Bit of Yankish flare and a approachability a Roller could never have.

Merc engine racket . . .

Delicate bodied MGA.

Dink going all artistic here.

A lovely house on wheels this is. Maybe just the kind of car for me . . . 100/6 mirrored.

That's all folks! Enjoy.
