In my personal, and obvious minority opinion, he's the Damien Hurst of the car world. A talented designer of car bodies, but probably more talented at the selling himself side of the business.

The fact that he didn't settle for a ladderframe or a Pontiac Fiero actually is a very brave decision. Going all the way and choosing the best of the best requires guts.
So instead of questioning him or his work, I think you should admire the fact that he succeeded in actually producing his dream.
Don't get me wrong I think the car is very pretty, very daytona Cobra at the back which is nice to see ressurected. But as I said with the first post, its a bit disingenuous to have Kate Moss inside your dress, because she'd look good in a plastic bin liner.
I can't personally seperate my feelings for the asthetics of that car body shape with the feelings I have about how gorgeous the underneath must be. I can't help feeling thats what the designer of the body shape had in mind. I think for that reason the disingenuous comment stands.

Just wondering if anything ever became out of these Vandenbrink designs other than sketches and photoshops?
Not intending to sound like a meany however it's been over 2 years now. The models on which these designs are based have a limited productlife and as such these designs don't have an eternal shelflife either.
It would be a shame if no physical cars ever were made. I'm especially curious how these designs would look in real life as well as details on the actual build process.
