"the car is said to reach 60mph from rest in 2.6 seconds.."
Not possible with RWD only despite all the power and torque. Grip will be missing. Just my 2p.

Perfectly possible, the 720 hp Ultima GTR managed that on its record 0-100-0 run. Admittedly it is mid engined, which probably helps a bit with the traction, but 2.6 seconds with RWD is possible.
To Mr BHP Al Melling
V10 Quad Turbo
1175 bhp
0-60 2.6 seconds
Terminal Velocity 275 mph
PLUS ITS BRITISH
Its about time the brits gave the italian super car league a good arse whoooping.
Quick some one get in touch with Clarkson and get it on the new series of top gear for the stig to drive.

Nothing this man designed ever worked.
I take it you have seen the complete list - it is somewhat longer than TVR engines.
Al Melling has advised and designed engines for a large number of the Worlds motor manufacturers, unfortunately he can't tell anyone much about it as he has confidentiality agreements with just about everyone of them. From what I understand his clients cover the globe, so speaking totally theoretically with no knowledge of specific customers, could you image Honda or Toyota, for example, saying "of course, our new engine was designed and developed by a bloke from Rochdale" in their PR material? As this would undermine their own credentials they get Al to do the work, and he is happy to take no credit for it, but knows his reputation will enable him to continue in business for may more years to come.
Whilst I am a little short of £200k to be placing an order, if I was in a different situation I would be very interested. Well done Mr Melling

Wait until it's built and works before congratulating him.
I've got a design for a quad-turbo V16 which will produce 1,600bhp and 1,500lb-ft of torque. I just need £20m to get the programme off the ground!
Where's my bow and congratulations?
Oh yeee of little faith.
And you driving around in a car with one of his engine in.
You soon will be eating humble pie me thinks.
Wait a minute how does a V10 with FOUR turbos work? 10 divided by four doesn't go evenly.
Surely there would be a lop sidedness somewhere? I mean such setups can work, like budget turbo setups on V engines with a single bank turbo, but it's not exactly ideal or optimal for high performance, and it's not like this has been done for penny pinching?
I would have thought a couple of turbos would be fine for engine response, it's a six litre engine after all, so shouldn't exactly be lacking in off boost torque, even with low compression.
I suppose they could route all headers through a single point with two common outlets, but again this seems needlessly complex, unless it is a fancy sequential twin turbo each side, which would make a bit more sense.
Otherwise I guess they could be running twin turbos in series rather than parallel, but I can't see how this would possibly benefit a road car?
Anyone got any engine bay pics? I'm quite curious now.
here are some more pics of the exterior which look a bit better than that pic

makes a veyron with 1001bhp seem silly for 800k
1200bmp for 200k bargain
i like the looks too but i recon they can be cleaned up a bit

I think they're two entirely different concepts. The Veyron is the pinnacle of automotive engineering in almost every sense, whereas the smelly Hellcat goes insanely fast.
You musn't forget that the Veyron was developed by the Volkswagen group and they invested a sick amount of money. Have you ever noticed how reviewers of supercars like twin turbo Gallardos or Koenigseggggggs always complain that the car looses control at superspeeds? That is the difference between having limitless supply of R&D money and being a fatcat who made a lot of dosh and now wanting to make a supercar of your own.
And I agree with some of the posts... it IS kinda fugly... (The Hellcat that is).
So let's see: someone takes a viper engine, slaps on a quad turbos, and clads it in a body that would have driven tears to japanese designers in their darkest hours... and hey, zingo, the new english supercar! Give me a cerby with all its faults, at least it looks outrageous an will never be mixed up with a ZX280....

2 for the engine and one for each seat to speed up the clearance of the debris that is going to accumulate.
