What do the Police think about the driving style and speeds that the evo magazine guys have posted up on their site? Great footage of an F40 on Yorkshire roads - no dangerous driving, all very good drivers but you could say that they were breaking the law.

I suppose the message is - stay anonimous, don't endanger anybody else and enjoy. I for one quite like seeing video footage of motors - long may it continue.

Question - How do we prosecute the numpties and protect us honest tax payers who enjoy cars?? Maybe the government should propose a new tax scheme that rewards better (more qualified?), safer drivers and punshes those that drive badly by lumping a bigger tax burden on them - a bit like NCD with insurers.

Just a few thoughts.

I deleted some of my video's because they showed the reg number of the other car I was with and the speed on my speedo, although neither driver was shown, I was genuinely worried that the person driving either vehicle might have been 'done' in some way.

Glad I did it now, although they may just be making an example of this guy.

A guy that performed a stunt on a bike without hurting or damaging property showing a certain degree of control and mastery, or at least some interest in knowing the capabilities of machine and himself, which I've been told is a key element in becoming a safe driver, and he's labeled an idiot and as usual in this greatly fair society we live in! He's about to become a scape goat! An example to others... "Let ye be warned!"

In the meantime, a TV show named "Britain's Worst Driver" demonstrates exactly what's wrong today... People are taught to pass a test and not how to drive.

There should be a great amount of retesting done. Starting with the participants in the show that to this day, despite showing the perfect example of what not to do, haven't been tested and are free to "drive" on public roads lacking control of self or machine.

Well this idiot here is a bit tired. Tired of having to go on the road everyday. Tired of putting up with people with no lane manners, or capability to antecipate events.

Tired of witnessing the innocent being prosecuted for causing no harm under the farse of the greater good. Tired of seeing the police making the exact same errors as everyone else, and thinking they're superior. They, who break the law more often than criminals!

Tired of office sitting people ruling on what they don't have the slightest idea about. Tired of people with half a brain dormant. Tired of being tired.

But who cares? Don't listen to me! I'm just an idiot.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=SrSPHclDXc4 - I don't think this is the one but its still bloody good! There's loads of videos found under 'R1 wheelie' on you tube, I wonder if they'll scan through all of them looking for clues as to the culprits are! Probably find room in the prisons for hardened crims like these by letting out some more peedo's!

On another note though, how the hell do the people that do the Gumball 3000 and the various other TV broadcast 'rallies' get away with 150mph on the hardshoulder etc when they are blatantly filmed from inside and outside the car with views showing their speed, and impersonating police officers etc. Years ago my mate was threatened with being nicked for impersonating police for having a blue neon kit under his motor!

It's interesting how the demographic of PH is changing judging by the comments being made. The number of "he's a maniac who should be locked up" posts seems to be increasing with every article of this ilk.

I see at least one person has fallen for the wording too. The article says "..pulling wheelies and riding past a school and housing estate" while the Mirror (that bastion of journalistic integrity) says "racing through a 30mph residential area". Nowhere does it say that he was "doing stunts by schools".

But as ever, why worry about knowing the facts of a case before making sweeping generalisations in an attempt to make their righteous point.

Impressive, but I'm disappointed that he stayed on. It's much more fun when they come off and smack into a lamp post/truck/concrete wall. Now that's entertainment!

The Jeep driver said: "Unfortunately I am one of the cars he passed that day doing a phenomenal speed and pulling a wheelie. I didn't see him until he was by my side, he was very close as well and the slightest drift to the right on my part and it could have been a bit rough."

Does it matter that it wasn't near a school the guy's an idiot and he'll make things worst for others who commit minor offences

I think most people can tell the difference between a little showing off and riding dangerously

If you want a crash it's this one, as I said I'm happy for people to injury themselves with stupidity

It's just natural selection after all! A young lad died near York last year doing exactly this. Fortunately (if not for him), he only killed himself. Shame really, we all do things which are a bit daft when we're young, but most of us grow up to wince when we think back to them.

They just showed parts of the video on BBC news, I live in Burnham and drive that very road every day. From the short bits they showed of him on the Edithmead to Tescos link road he was nowhere near approaching 100mph...The overtake past the stoddens lane turning was very ill advised though, just asking for someone turning left to pull out of there, they do it when your on their right, let alone coming towards them on the wrong side of the raod.

I am not sure they are allowed to use video in this way as evidence against you.

It may be different given that he put it an youtube as it is then in the public domain,

It could also be argued that the video is his or youtubes intelectual property and any downloading without permission forbidden.

Pulling wheelies overtaking cars was a bit daft.
We have all done daft stuff in our youth even would-be prime ministers

It comes down to the time and place rule really.

Should he be made a scapegoat?
No perhaps a word in his shell like would be sufficient.

Given the other thread on here about the Police using computers for private use how did plod getthe video.

If they found it while using a police computer it could have been obtained illegally.
Police are forbidden to use computers for personal use.

I think to die from a mistake is a bit harsh, plus you can't learn from any mistakes when you’re dead

Even killing yourself usually upsets someone and this is a very messy and costly form of euthanasia

It is in the Mirror. It must therefore be true.

Did you know that Elvis was also seen last week? He's appearing at Saga Bingo next week.

That sounds more like a confession of DWODCAA from the Jeep driver to me...

Did that plonker REALLY wheelie into the back of that car? Dork! It's not too clear, as the other bike wanders across the camera as it happens, but it sure looks like it to me.

Appears to be a crowd of Gumball type folk all out for a laugh, as the cars seem to be with the bikes?

Yeah your right, if he'd really switched on he'd have given the steering wheel a quick flick to the right, that's what you mean isn't it (?)
