I saw an Aston DBRS9, the road version, not the race car, on the M25 in the early hours of Sunday morning a couple of weeks ago.

Very nice.

Saw it at Millbrook. I wouldn't normally spill the beans on prototypes at proving grounds (work ethic and all that) but this was on trade plates which meant it must have been on the road so its fair game.

When i worked at Toyota and the new corolla was just starting they had them on site covered up with all sorts to stop people seeing it(like you would want to).I was then outside the pub in my village and one pulled up at the roundabout with nothing to disguise it at all so work that one out

Spotted a few random things on the motorways around Brum, but the best for me were in Tenerife. We went to the local go-kart track only to find it closed, however the owner said they had some new cars coming out for a drive. Cue 4 as then unreleased Audi RS6 saloons flying around a go-kart track with some seriously worried passengers clinging to the grab handles in the rear. It was a great spectacle and the V8s sounded spot on.

Later the same day I saw a new model A4 Convertible (this was about 6-7 years ago) driving down the main motorway near Playa de Las Americas.

Seems like an Audi testing trip to me! thumbup

I am sure someone got a kickin for that one.

We have spent the past 2 years successfully hiding the Qashqai until 1 week before the official unveiling. The motor show it was going to be unveiled at wanted some large side on posters of the car so someone took the showcar out to a private place to get some pics then decided that he needed some fuel in it. Problem was the show was Paris and he drove the completley uncovered car to a garage in Paris, rolleyes where it was 'snapped' and published!!!!!!!

I don't think he works for Nissan anymore.

2 RX8s at the Ring.

New XK , both drop-top and coupe in Coventry.

XJ, for some reason, near Loch Leven in Scotland.

Random SUVs heading down the M69, they all turned off at the MIRA junction.

The SL hammering down the Autobahn, then saw the same car in a museum car park a few hours later.

The current CL in Stuttgart.

A few other Mercedes around the Stuttgart area.

Yes Twincam16 I'm sure about the prototype Delorean, it may have been 1980 no earlier - it was the final prototype for the final production version - it was out on the Dundrod circuit.

I had a friend who worked in the factory - he had some woeful stories - the first 200 to go to the States all had to be totally rebuilt in USA before being released to customers. If both doors were opened at the same time the windscreen cracked up the middle.

This morning I saw what looked like the front of a Rover 75 with the back of a 4x4 all covered in black plastic and tape.

Hmmmmm

where was this hollypop

Saw it again today near Stoneleigh, Warwickshire. So probably some mutant Jag.

Sounds like a Bentley SUV to me.

Saw 2 disguised off roaders this morning in Cov.

Can only guess they are Peugeots, as they didn't look Landy-ish at all.

Did they actually produce the DB7 Zagato Volante?

Does Peugeot still have a presence in Cov?

Why would Peugeot be testing cars in cov since they have no base there now?

A when did Peugeot last make an SUV?

There are alot of design consultancies in cov, so it maybe one of their babies? A Jag SUV?

yes Well, sort of. The DB AR1 was a long-wheelbase, open-top Zagato.

Not true. Production has stopped at Ryton, but the company is still based at Aldermoor House and the old Stoke Aldermoor factory is being flattened to make way for a new headquarters building.

While on holiday in Spain I saw a prototype for the Fiat Coupe, it had covers over the slashes in the bodywork but I recognised what it was from a photo in AutoExpress the previous week...I told my friends and suprisingly didn't care

I saw the new Jag XK about 6 months before it was released in an office car park in Bath, all covered up in black tape. Took a while to work out what it was.
