Navara vs L200 - Argh, which one!!?!
Discussion
Forgive me for the rather dull, diesel, pickup thread but i'm really struggling with this quandry!
I'm looking to contract hire either a Nissan Navara Outlaw or a Mitsubishi L200 Animal/Warrior. My reasoning behind choosing these two are to turn it into a mobile advertising platform (as well as the obligatory beaujolais runs to France). Now, they're both pretty much on a par in terms of spec and pricing. I'm not particularly concerned about the 'look' that each one has (although the L200 is a tad odd). So I suppose ultimately it boils down to performance, comfort & ownership experiances. Clearly if i'm using it for business, it has to be pretty reliable - but in a modern car you'd expect that anyway! Cost of servicing is important, i've never dealt with either Mitsubishi or Nissan before in my murky motortrade past so I don't know if they're stupidly expensive?
I suppose what i'm really after is people to share with me any tales of woe or tales of orgasmic enjoyment etc.

L200
What do you fine folk think?

Have got a new shape L200 Warrior. Can't fault it at all. It's got a smaller loadspace than the Navara but much much more room in the rear cab. Have had 6 footers in the back with no problems at all.
L200 is better off road and has got the smallest steering lock of any pick-up (handy for parking). Great 4x4 system from the Shogun, can leave it in 4 wheel drive all the time without 'winding up' the transmission.
If you've got any other questions on the L200 then please feel free to ask.
Service every 12000 miles, they offer fixed price servicing, all details here...www.mitsubishi-cars.co.uk/newl200/

I thought they were changing so that these things were will be as unattractive from a financial perspective as they are from every other perspective (unless you're a builder)? Edited by dern on Monday 12th March 15:21

'They've' been saying it for years but as yet haven't actually done anything about it.
Thanks for the insights folks, certainly some mixed views to consider. Keep them coming.
Black's where it's at, mine...
