As such, that can make such a vehicle very difficult to drive. Not something you really want when selling such a car to what are generally speaking, in all honesty, armature drivers (no offense meant!)
A clever reference to the electric motor drive there Just saw my first F1 on the road reg F1TOO, getting on eurotunnel at folkestone. Nice bloke driving it, had it from new and done almost 40,000 miles. Had the carbon rear wing and front spoiler. Looked lovely.

Flemke, all this talk of watches - are you a 'watch' person and what watch/watches do you have and wear daily?
My watch is an icon on my mobile phone. Their website http://lanzante.co.uk/ is a bit vague.
What else do Lanzante do apart from fettle the odd F1? Ferraris? Race cars? Porsches?

My watch is an icon on my mobile phone. I mean, the time one sees on a mobile phone, or on a Swatch, or on a clock in a public place, that is the same time that one sees on a Richard Mille atrocity, is it not? These vanity watches, do they tell you a better time or something like that?

They used to, and probably still do, run Adrian Newey's GT40 and E-Type, they run Tony Smith's Maserati Birdcage and Ferrari Dino (single-seater), the GT40 in which Ray Bellm won Tour Britannia - that kind of thing. What else do Lanzante do apart from fettle the odd F1? 'F1 TOO' belongs to Tony Smith, former Genesis manager.
Cool! Dark blue with some kind of coach line, but I only got a very brief glimpse. I knew someone would know who owns it flemke said:
A few years ago I saw an ad for a watch that I liked the look of and thought about buying it. I went to a shop and learned, to my surprise, that it cost something like £8,500. There was no way that I was going to pay that much for a watch, unless it was a gift for someone else.

Interesting view point given the very subject of this thread. I think it's been fairly well established here, that there are many objectively better cars available for a fraction of the cost of the F1 with only subjective user experience, looks and heritage accounting for the regard its held in, and it's inflated price. I reckon the same argument could be made to justify an expensive Rolex or similar.Do you feel the same about some high end cabinetmaking vs an Ikea sideboard when one holds your friut bowl off the floor just the same as the other?

Further: "A man with a watch knows what time it is. A man with two watches is never sure."I mean, the time one sees on a mobile phone, or on a Swatch, or on a clock in a public place, that is the same time that one sees on a Richard Mille atrocity, is it not? That's what always comes to my mind when I see folk taking photographs of the various timepieces that they choose to embellish their arm with.

I'd buy an F1 just for the induction noise, but I wouldn't buy a Vauxhall Astra - which can also convey me and two pals along the motorway at 70mph-ish in reasonable peace and comfort because I'd always begrudge having to part with any money for it.
I bought a Gibson Les Paul because of the way it feels, but I wouldn't buy a cheap Japanese guitar - which sounds exactly the same in my ham fists.
I've bought a couple of reasonably expensive watches over the years and not one of them kept time as well as my mobile phone, but that's not really the point: I bought them because - to me - they were more than just a tool for telling the time.
That said, I don't understand people who buy designer t-shirts for £100 - but it's their choice!
