We would not recommend giving giving out your details but as far as we know the scammers are not using their victims details for anything at the moment, so I would not worry too much.Hi Guys. How do I go about reporting an ad. I replied to an ad for a 2003 Mini Cooper S yesterday which is advertised at £3,800 incl delivery from Italy to the UK - Dodge!
I sent the seller a mail and got this -

I went back to PH to show my boyfriend the ad but the ad was removed. Then I noticed different mini being advertised for the same prive with the same text only a different colour car
Just out of curiousity, we replied to this ad using my boyfs email address and got the exact same reply almost immediately
Very obviously a scam and I don't think many would fall for it but how do I go about reporting the particular ad?

So as she (he or it) mentioned EBAY I took a quick look and spotted the genuine car for sale at the correct price. They had copied the whole ebay ad on to Pistonheads. The Ad disappeared quite quickly, I hope that none of you good souls out there got caught.

I understand you and you are right ,anyway the shipping company will send you an invoice with the payment proof instructions . you don`t need to provide them your bank details . when i bought my car they said me to send a wire transfer to a relative of mine and after that to give them the payment details ,they have checked the transfer and after they have started the delivery . after the 5 days testing period i bought the car and i have changed the receiver name of the transfer ( my relative ) to their agent name in order for them to pick up the money . i have explained you how they asked me to pay but anyway they will send you an invoice with the instructions .

He tols me the car was in italy and did not answer my questions asking about John and his spoof number! Did not give full name or any other details, due to the pungent odour of RAT in the air!!!!

I understand you and you are right ,anyway the shipping company will send you an invoice with the payment proof instructions . you don`t need to provide them your bank details . when i bought my car they said me to send a wire transfer to a relative of mine and after that to give them the payment details ,they have checked the transfer and after they have started the delivery . after the 5 days testing period i bought the car and i have changed the receiver name of the transfer ( my relative ) to their agent name in order for them to pick up the money . i have explained you how they asked me to pay but anyway they will send you an invoice with the instructions .

I heard nothing all day yesterday and had started to question things. Thought it was weird that the ad was taken off after one day and then I googled scams etc and got the warnings from your page. Obviously realised it was a scam and then decided to see where things would go from here. Eventually last night got further emails saying that shipping all arranged, 500 euros paid for them to ship. Its a Money Gram Scam. call me on 07756946707 because I have just done exactly the same. So close in sending a Money Gram but decided another way round it and sent numerous emails to both parties saying Money Gram is too problematic and not a easy to do. The MG transfer must be picked up by the delivery driver in the UK so it would best to arrange it to your partner`s name and with destination London,UK for example.
If you and your partner have the same address they won`t do the transfer,just say you are arranging the transfer because your partner is in London and needs the money urgently for a personal reason.
By saying this you will also save some money from the MG feeds,because for a car purchase( a commercial transaction) they will double the transfer taxes!!!
You will change the receiver`s name from your partners into the delivery drivers name after the 48hrs inspection period will expire.

The MG transfer must be picked up by the delivery driver in the UK so it would best to arrange it to your partner`s name and with destination London,UK for example.
If you and your partner have the same address they won`t do the transfer,just say you are arranging the transfer because your partner is in London and needs the money urgently for a personal reason.
By saying this you will also save some money from the MG feeds,because for a car purchase( a commercial transaction) they will double the transfer taxes!!!
You will change the receiver`s name from your partners into the delivery drivers name after the 48hrs inspection period will expire.

Just to let you know that the reason the above website has disappeared is because I reported them to the .t35.com hosting site. Told them that scammers were using themselves. I am sure that they will start up again under something else, but lets try to stop these gits or make their life more difficult!!
