I have arrived into work this morning and sitting on my desk is the first issue of the new Performance Car magazine and I have to say having just had a quick skip through it looks absolutely fabulous.

Great photography, lovely layout and great writing. Some of the features incl -

New WRX
Elise SC on the Route Napoleon
Junior hot hatches under £12k and group 10 ins.
Long termers incl Civic Type R GT, Golf GTI, Integra Type R, E92 M3.

Cracking stuff guys. thumbup

Cheers. I think they need to spend some money on google optimisation.

Surprised nobody has harked back to the oriinal Performance Car magazine from the 90's yet - it was leagues ahead at the time, the photography in particular was superb. I can still remember the sinking feeling when I read the editor's explanation that the publishers had decided to fold it into a relaunch of Car magazine.

Bad times - glad it's back!

Can't wait to get hold of it.

Is their long term Integra a DC5?

Cheers Ben, sounds really good. Like many others I got very bored with EVO a long while back so hopefully this will be a decent read.

Sounds great; exactly the kind of cars I actually want to read about.

High though the production values of 'Evo' are, there're only so many articles about LP640s and Zondas that I'll want to read, as I'll never be owning them!

968CS, Integrale, E30 M3... this is my 'comfort zone'. Modern stuff may be 'quicker', but all too often the car has had its soul sacrificed to fly-by-wire throttles, stability control and other devices which can further detach the driver from the experience. Maybe I'm just a Luddite?

I have many back copies of the original 'Performance Car'. I remember the first time they got their hands on a Cerbera, Barker 'testing' their Race Tuscan and the Tango-orange Project 944CS.

'Fast Lane' was good in its time also. Unfortunately, circulation of these mags is always the problem; the public want to spend their £4 on 'What Airbag?' each month, in order to see which 55 bhp shopping trolleys are available with traction control...
