I find it hard to see how something like that would be enjoyable to drive.
No weight to keep rear wheels pushed down, surely accelerating out of a slower corner would simply result in plumes of smoke?
The engine is over the rear wheels so traction should be better than the Caterham equivalent. Should be an awesome car, the Atom 300 is already as fast as any road car (at least to 100 or so) this will be mind bending. No weight to keep rear wheels pushed down, surely accelerating out of a slower corner would simply result in plumes of smoke?

The new car is recognisable by twin rear intakes for intercoolers and will feature a unique colour scheme for chassis, wheels and bodywork combined with carbon fibre panels and carbon fibre aerofoils.

Sounds good, but isn't that what a caparo t1 is?
The Atom is still a useful road machine, and hopefully it won't set you om fire, i mean literally. Is that 500bhp from a Honda bike engine? Don't think the tuners can get sort of power from a CTR engine!?Edited by fido on Thursday 28th February 15:39
It's going to be awesome, clearly, but is this V8 engine reliable? Suppose it must be if Caterham and Ariel are using it, and it doesn't have to do 25k miles a year, but, as mentioned above, I thought Caparo tried it, it blew up at a launch, they struggled to get it to work, then they ditched it?
