RE: New Mini Metro Planned
Discussion
Nicely done Fool Oli. Good photoshoppery also!
The funniest part being that it's not a million miles away from being possible - MINI is BMW Group's FWD platform, the n-Series range are all RWD. No particular reason why they shouldn't make a slightly bigger FWD hatch - think of the Audi A2 without the crippling cost of aluminium... and it'd bring down their average CO2 emissions too of course.

STOP PRESS!
At 1100 hours BMW Oxford Plant scrapped the idea of a new Metro.
Spotted on the plant were quickly revised plans for their 'real' next new car...
the revered name, the MAXI.
The MAXI, according to sources at the Plant, 'will' be based on the Montego.
Rumours of a new Maestro version were snubbed as 'ridiculous!'
A spokesman said:
'The Montego is our preferred basis' and an example was spotted currently being assembled 'round the back' of the Plant (scoop pic below - note the new style wheels and bodywork on an M3 platform) and from inside the plant our source managed to snap an already far more powerful version being assessed - see scoop shot of proposed engine bay.
We were told the 'production version' of this power plant will not be as colourful!

I'd rather have Smallpox !
I had a Metro Company car forced upon me back in the early eighties, it was nicknamed "Inalot" by the garage who maintained it, it was an 'S' model !
took that to mean 5h!te ?
I reckon The hoodie was spawned from driving this car, woman wore headscarfs and dark glasses + blokes wore anything + dark glasses so not to be seen driving one, me I had the windows dark tinted shaved my head and grew a moustashe and beard + wore dark glasses and a kilt.
When I drove into Gatwick Airport I was arrested for driving an offensive vehicle !
