Roadster aside i dont see the attraction to smarts.... My better half looked at the four two convertible and the sale team (lierally 3 of them) couldnt work out the roof?? Apparently on newer one its just a one button operation (Dont know from what reg mind).

Smarts can really struggle to get the mpg claimed and when you can buy a panda eleganza for £3000 for a 2004 i dont see why??

Panda has more space, just as good to the gallon, loose less money, cheaper to buy insure service etc, comes with climate computer and in 12 months has been bullet proof. Highly reccomend as a cheap run around.

But would you get 3 pages of people enthusing about their Pandas smile

Despite the obvious shortcomings there is charm to a Smart Car that almost overcomes the problems. In a world of standard econoboxes, they are somthing different. Paddleshift, turbo whistle, boot made to fit a slab of beer, all add up to a smile.

Mine goes at the end of next month, and I will very sad to see it go. Sadder than I was then the Boxster S it replaced went.

We chopped our CityCoupe in for a Renault Modus 1.5Dci 80, the Renault is, faster, at least 15mpg more economical, more stable, seats 5,miles more carrying capacity and turns on a sixpence.

It will also be tax free next year.

But it looks like an MPV for Munchkins...

The Smart is rather funky looking in an odd way and has a bit or character

You soon grow tired of that.

Hi all.
Have no idea if I'm using this right bt here we go.
Ibe recently purchased a Smart Fortwo 451 Brabus Xclusive. Second smart ive had and can't seem to get away from them!
Just wanting to know what real miles per tank do people get from the brabus? I've been running it on Tesco Momentum 99 as it needs to run on 98 octane or higher. smile
