i am amazed by some of the (supposed) mpg figures

i owned an imported wrx sti- "slightly" upgradded to 350 HP

if i put £10 in her, she would barely do 25 miles, thats about 12 mpg
yes i did drive a tad bit hard

but hearing V8s do 30+mpg!!!

either i smell bs or y'all a bunch of hairdressers in which case y'all need to be driving hybrids and not performance cars anyway

Interesting comments about trip computers overreading. My Civic 2.2 diesel returns about 55mpg but the trip computer suggests it is well over 60mpg. When deciding on which car to buy this makes a big difference.

Renault Grand Scenic 1.9dci.

Round town - 39mpg
Motorway - 47mpg
A-Roads (i.e. single track, in and out of villages) - 53mpg!

The only car I've ever owned that actually beats what it's supposed to do!
