He's not parked, it's LHD
The lack of driver, fact that this is a right hand drive country, fact there are people walking in front of the car, and obvious parking bays with cars in directly behind it all suggest that whilst that 599 is LHD - he is parked.

Or was your comment tongue in cheek?
the fact that the steering wheel is on the left hand side and there's a driver sat there was the giveaway for me.

I may be imagining a head in that seat though - and if he wasn't parked he wouldn't be directly in front of the Landrover.

As someone who has not lived in London, is this the kind of stuff you just see strewn around the streets? yikes
It's incredible isn't it? That picture although not perfect, for me it captures exactly what London is about, just awesome seeing such metal parked up as if it's the "norm".

Anyway, some of these shots alongside being rather inspirational are slightly depressing to look at. Such special beauties just parked up gathering dust/not being used. Specifically that Alpina Z8...Heartbreaking.

...Dont even get me started on the Ferrari's & Old Rollers sitting around! frown

Ah I miss working in Knightsbidge, where seeing an SLR, Murcielago and 599 driving past in convoy was an almost daily occurrance.

I see that Veyron was parked in Belgravia, quite unusual to see anything overtly flash there, usually just Bentley/ RR or the odd Porsche.

Cracking post. Some real great spots in there. Even enjoyed the rusty old Granada - you're right you just don't see those any more! This has to be my favourite though - never seen one in white before and think it looks absolutely stunning......

Either Tigerkoi has a really pants camera, or there is a lot of furious wanking going on during those picture takings

VW Phaeton. I thought I'd throw this one in. How rare is this!
hehe No kidding !

I wonder if there's any way to find out the number registered. That's the commonest (least rare ?) flavour, but I doubt if it's more than there are 430s.

Grainy photos are okay by me, they're better than no photos.

Re Phaetons: I see at least one (often two) on my commute everyday. The regular one looks to be absolute poverty spec with tiny little multispoke wheels. It's always dirty too although I know it lives by the sea front so that probably explains it as it's left on the street.

I bet you must be so tempted to lift a few of the covers to see what lies beneath, but fair play for not doing so. I'd be very annoyed if people uncovered my car for a look should it be parked in such a situation.

True, but they're hardly secret and aside from mention of a couple of car parks pretty much all we know is 'they're in London' - not really the basis for a master criminal plot.

Am I wrong about the CSL btw? I'm sure it had the CF roof. And would change the bootlid of a normal M3? I know the wheels aren't the normal CSL ones....
I'm pretty sure thats a real CSL. I think the wheels normally associated with the CSL were actually optional? Just that 99% of owners ordered them...
