To the non-BMW geeks, ETK is BMW's electronic parts catalogue system thingy, so it's a reference to M3 parts which I thought was good.

Engine/gearbox/LSD/suspension/brakes are all from a 3.0 M3. It's as near as you'll get to an M3 "estate".

Cool, surely it's easier to just have the car registered in the UK, esp as it's RHD, or does it somehow work out cheaper to register, insure and tax it in Germany?

Do you drive it back every few months?

True - there are at least 9 M badges on my (standard) Sport Touring if you look hard enough.

If you saw it standing still you'd realise it's filthy, a bit tatty round the edges, and not actually finished
