Love this peak, it's like catching a cheeky glimpse up a girl's skirt.
By "quickest and fastest" do you mean, lowest time across the quarter and highest top speed over the quarter? I'm not really au fait with drag racing parlance.

Also, is it the angle of the photo or is the whole car twisting?

Cheers mate. No your eyes are not deceiving you, before we fitted an anti roll bar it did indeed twist; the torque from the engine tries to drive the left rear tyre through the ground, as it can't it causes the axle to seperate from the chassis in the opposite direction resulting in the twist!Awesome work fella
Yes that's me getting rather animated behind the car lol...
Now we run longer, stiffer wheelie bars and an anti roll bar the launch is a lot less dramatic;

Are you suggesting it's not aesthetically pleasing?Rat_Fink_67 said:

Yeah that's it, the lowest elapsed time and fastest speed. Although the fastest recorded speed and "actual" top speed are different. The speed on a drag strip is calculated as an average over the last 66 feet of the track so on our 184.57 mph pass the real speed across the finish line would've been over 190 mph.Reminds me of this video (at 4:23) ...

Yeah it captures it right on the limit there. There's a very fine line between a good launch like that and developing tyre-shake. tyre-shake is where the tyre effectively loses and then regains traction over and over again to the point where the ripples that can be seen in the above pic develop in to waves and shake the whole car. We had one case a couple of seasons ago where the vibrations were so intense that it ripped the wheel tubs and boot floor out as well as splitting both rear wings down the middle! The tyres carried that much energy that they even managed to chew through the back of both original steel outer sills, it was so bad that my Dad momentarily blacked out behind the wheel.Here's the video; http://s123.photobucket.com/albums/o287/Succulent_...
It doesn't look much on there and it was over within a second but the effects on the car were devastating.
