Surely it would've made sense to base it on a 911 and then attach the bodykit onto that as then you have half the job done for you, might even have nearly convincing performance.

Why would anyone think that this is a good idea?????????? The thought train leading to actually making this project is baffling:

Lets make a crap replica...
Lets make two crap replicas...
How about we make the two crap replicas into one truly terrible car...

TRhis is the most offensive 'replica' i have ever set eyes upon.

There is bile rising in my throat as i type this just from the memory of those images.

That thing could make an abortion look good.

what really made me laugh was the the Lambo replica had cover some 242,000 miles before they cut it into four large chunks, before placing some random metal inbetween to hold it all together. I'm pretty sure a old a tired automatic V6 that has done almost a quarter of a million miles is no starting base for a copy of the legendary supercar like Lamborghini had intended they're flagship model to be.

Something else I found funny was the title of the advert, I'm not saying the guy was ashamed of his work or anything, but the title reads. "UP FOR SALE IS MY FRIENDS 2007 LAMBORGHINI LP640" If i had a Lambo and it was anything like it, then I'd be passing it off as my own!! He probably does own it and not overly impressed by the end result so hence the introduction of a nameless friend. It's just like going to the GU clinic and claiming you have this friend with an embaressing rash, and you come on his behalf to pick up some cream, but off course for your friend, and totally nothing to do with the person that they see there before them!!!

I love these 'replica' stories, like the Carrera GT and convertible F40. Makes me feel good that there are such fools out there, plus gives me a bloody good giggle at work.

Keep them coming PH.

Indeed one was created, by an aftermarket tuner/bodyshop, however it was crashed and written off..

There has been models made of it in 1/43 scale etc, and magazine articles taken in period as you say

The car is almost as bad as writing a piss take article about it stating "One of the first rules to creating a convincing replica has to be choosing a car that actually existed in the first place." when it did exist...
