We moved to a new place last year and the garage was a dirty, dingy, mice and spider infested, flat roofed nightmare, I decided it needed changing as a matter of urgency, once the building work got going it was certainly dirtier but its been worth it, EcoLED light panels from E36GUY.

Wah wah wee wah! That is a seriously impressive set up you have! And even more impressive cars! Well done sir! https://vimeo.com/136318386
Been in my current single garage set up for the last 15 years, perfectly adequate when I moved in as it was just to house bike's, but since I've had the Griff, its been plainly a struggle.
So first thing off, demolition time.
Then lay some base, in sections due to size.
Then erect a 20ft by 18ft extra high garage, 7ft6 to the eves, highest I could go to.
Then paint the walls white to brighten things up.
Add some plastic sectional flooring, all clips together and the one I choose which is plasfloor, is a lot better value than other one's on the market.
Had electrics fitted and then fill it with car and bike stuff.
To say I'm chuffed is an understatement, so much more room now, though pretty sure ill fill it with crap soon enough.
Compared to some of the lush jobbies on here its not a palace, but for me its heaven.

Pah, that ain't a garage! This is a garage:
OK, not the best garage, but it is my garage. Spent a week in March taking off the leaky ste asbestos roof sheets and replacing it with a single span of box profile sheeting on z purlins. Managed to finish the cedar batten and board cladding this eve, and get the ridge flashing on.
Really happy with it so far. Long term plan is to knock the middle wall down and stick a big roller shutter door on, making it into a useful 6x5m workshop. But I think I'll tackle that next year. Need to get leccy out there for lighting before winter.
Nice work mate. That's a more representative enthusiast's garage. You should be pleased with yourself. Power will make a big difference. OK, not the best garage, but it is my garage. Painted the inside walls with umpteen coats of Sandtex Brilliant White Ultra Smooth. Got in all the nooks and crannies of the stty '60s breeze block walls by thinning it down to buggery. Took ages, but well pleased with the result. Managed to get a few splashes on the floor/roof/woodwork just to make it look like I wasn't trying too hard. Probably wouldn't have started if I wasn't bored stless while recovering from having my appendix out back in Aug.
Then fitted a cumulative 46 ft of T8 cool white fluorescent tubing. 6 off 5 ft fittings on the roof and 8 off 2ft fittings low down on the walls. As you can see it's now quite bright. Managed to get a good moody shot of the Pug while I was comparing two different colour temperatures on the 2 ft tubes.

Also stuck a few sockets out there for charging the phone/running a stereo.
Did all the wiring in 20mm conduit. Figured that would offer mechanical protection and give me the flexibility to run the lights on different circuits without having a million runs of twin and earth going everywhere, making the place look untidy. Despite that, some of my bends are a bit questionable, so it still doesn't look like I was trying too hard, even though I really was. I reinstalled half of it because it just wansn't right.
Turns out I'd be ste as a quantity surveyor. Did sums, reckoned I'd need 30 m of conduit. Ordered 30 m from Toolstation (or so I thought). Realised when it was delivered that I'd ordered 30 off 3m lengths. Lucky I did - have about 5 lengths left. A lot of it went in the bin before I figured out how hot to get it before bending.
Not sure I'd use conduit again, but I'm not massively keen on any of the alternatives, so maybe I would. Anyway, it's done now, so I can get on with keeping the Rallye alive. It needs a bit of TLC at the mo, but that's another thread.
