You get damp issues with furniture in shipping containers too, partly I think as a lot of the time they are fairly tired once used for storage, floors in the way, placed on damp earth, then the limited vents they are made with don't cope.
However at the same time I had a steel garage for the last 7 years and a container at uni before that. Get a load of lidded plastic storage boxes, apply wd40/acf50 to anything bare metal and precious and you will be fine!

Congratulations on getting the house back!

Well... guess I can start a post on this thread with some before pictures. Should complete on new house at end of October. Large garage as separate building in the grounds (approx 6.5m x 9.5m) and rooms / bathroom above ( approx 3.6m x 7.6m).

Can't wait to start upgrading it! Garage will be later on in the upgrade of the house. Phase one is house interior upgrades, Phase 2 is studio / music room above garage, phase 3 is cinema room, phase 4 is garage (probably work garage alongside the other phases).

(not my TT)

(also not my Dulux porcelain dog)

Shame the dog isn't yours.... but that is basically by dream garage if we get funds and or inclination to rebuild the perfectly reasonable to single skin 5x5 double we have currently.

Certas said cracking good space.

Certainly as said, a cracking good space.

It's about 20 years old apparently. Outside has weathered very well indeed.

Currently nosing about at different options for the floor. Think I'll just go Grey paint for the floor and then rubber tiles for the two car parking areas. Costco storage units on the left hand wall, storage and bits and bobs on the back wall and then some nice wooden workbenches next to the window.

Haven't been this excited for a long time. Sad I know.

Not at all. We're all there in spirit with you brother ... keep us updated.

(You lucky sod!)

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mk1-Ford-Consul-2-5L-25...

The reason I post this is not because of the car, but if you flick through the pics, you'll see a) the guy has 10 garages housing a collection of mainly old Fords and bizarrely Marina vans, and b) the house is FOR SALE!

I guess he maybe isn't on PH though, so it doesn't count really.

Anyone in the Sussex area looking to move?

Good spot, that's certainly a set of garages there, and an unusual collection.....I'm sure I can see a Montego in there!

In places it's a bit of an acquired taste, but what a great development to run any type of modern or classic car business from your own property!

Or just somewhere to put your lovely motors in!

Interiors can be modified as you want though - and I think the outside wants landscaping better maybe, but a lottery win would solve al that very quickly!

And somewhere local for your private jet to land and take off - ideal!

Edit: Just noticed his block paving wants a powerwash ... not interested.

Look in the ebay listing at his other items and a Montego is also for sale, amongst other things
