Who has the best Garage on Pistonheads?
Discussion
Im at a much lower level than most here but I just finished this little office garage.
Wood burner installed, floor finished etc, I love it. The electric door is decent for the money too. Sorry for the cack photo's.
Happy now its done, its a nice place to work in and beats being in the house for work. Trouble is, it feels too nice for any of the cars to sit in!

It wasn't too bad on cost, £10k roughly all in inc the wood burner, commercial tiles etc
On budget for a change!
I'm far from an expert but that sounds really reasonable, other than the slight step at the entrance (I noticed the ramps) there is literally nothing I'd change. On budget for a change!
Did you do a fair amount of the work yourself?
Yeah, the step has two small ramps at the moment but Ill likely give it a smooth ramp next summer across the length. The base is 100mm on the far side but the ground slopes a bit hence its around 150mm at the other end.
I didnt do a whole lot myself other than the usual finishing, painting and the door etc. The woodburner was fitted properly, the building was put up by the company I bought it from and the floor was tiled by a local guy. I got a saving on the base as it was done by a friend and I just bought them a few nice hampers as they didnt take anything.

Thats an interesting collection and like the garaging a lot. I have a long barn that I have converted into 6 bays plus 1 bay as a workshop. However the problem I have is that its only 4.6m deep meaning my 599/ range rover/ m5 don't fit length ways without taking up two bays. Wish I have the space to move mine around like yours. Some wonderful spaces on here...
When I bought my first house last year, one of the deciding factors was that it had a garage - there were practically no houses in my price range that had one.
As it was..
Then when I put my car in it for the first time - it didn't fit! It was about 20mm too long..
First job was knocking down the interior wall, then paint. I put in LED battens to replace the crappy fluorescent bulbs, put some more boards on the ceiling joists for some proper storage space, and built the ladder for decent access to the new 'loft'.
It certainly isn't the biggest or flashest, but it's a proper home for my wee car with the added bonus of a little workshop space.

Do you mind sharing the company details? A friend is having new garage thoughts and the cost/result you've achieved there look like phenomenal value compared to some options.
Yeah sure, I got mine from Logspan who are local to me but Im sure other companies do similar stuffJonny TVR said:

I expect most of them are old enough to wear a black & silver plate but to me it looks a bit odd on the Cerbera.
It shouldn't be on the Cerb .. think its any car before 1973Jonny TVR said:
