Who has the best Garage on Pistonheads?

Hopefully someone can advise me.
I'm after an electric single roller garage door, and I've had two quotes - £1790 and £1799.
Both are for a Hormann Roller Door, supplied and fitted.
Are these prices reasonable? I was imagining more in the range of £1250-1500.
If not can anyone suggest another supplier/fitter/brand or even just advise if the price is reasonable.
Happy to pay what I need to pay.
Thanks!

I had 6 Horman doors fitted earlier this year and they were approx £1600 each plus VAT installed and automated.
I think most of the posts here are referring to Hormann sectional doors rather than the roller door you had fitted. Sectional doors are generally more expensive as there’s a bit more to them than roller doors. I think they look nicer, certainly less industrial, but the internal frame takes up quite a lot of space. I didn’t proceed with them in my garage as I’d lose lots of cupboard space.
Hormann seem good, I think Garador is the same product but produced in the UK? I looked at Novoferm as well and they also seemed decent. My parents have had a large double Hormann sectional door since 2002 without any problems.

Well, not the recent posts about Hormann, they were about roller doors, not sectional ones. I couldn't have a sectional one, as I don't have the height in the garage, plus I use the front to get up in to the roof storage. I wouldn't get on in silver or light grey that's for sure! Everything put back to where it was.
Next stage is to put the dark grey floor down (interlocking tiles)
42inch Rollcab turns up next week
then building a fold-able workbench and french cleat storage wall
The issue I've got is I have a boiler and various pipes on the walls. Spoils the clean look. Might have to devise a way to hide it all.
Also, have lots of wooden shelves but considering changing them to cabinets (again for a cleaner look).
If anyone can offer a bit of garage door advice as this is my next project..
Only snag currently is this carport has no power and is remote from any distribution boards, so powered roller doors might be out. Was thinking solar and battery for lighting but doesn't need power for tools or anything else as I have a barn /workshop with power.
Ceiling might benefit from boarding out ?
Was thinking perhaps split opening doors maybe or sliders that go round to the side possibly?
Any thoughts or ideas appreciated.

First job there is to insulate that steel roof or it will “rain” inside with doors. Condensation. Air movement currently prevents most of it. Most of those pipes will easily box in and the remainder will blend in fairly well when they're the same colour as the wall.
I'll have to think about the best way to do it. There are quite a few pipes!Floor is pretty solid. Tiles on concrete. Not sure I could be bothered to go through the rigmarole of changing.

Walls look solid. Ditch the roof, add extra joists, ply then DIY fibreglass roof.
Then double garage door made to measure. Facia above or to make a nice job, catnic lintel with three or four courses of reclaimed brick.
Depends how remote, but run an armoured cable from your consumer unit beneath ground level for little extra cost you have power/lighting.
(Not done to show off my photoshop skills!!!

Don't mind spending. Power is a bugger tho as the boards are buried n the house (300yr old and thick walls) and no spare ways, so would need new consumer unit in addition to getting an armoured through and under a patio. Hence other than lighting no need to worry just yet.Walls look solid. Ditch the roof, add extra joists, ply then DIY fibreglass roof.

Steel roof fairly new, walls sound, was thinking enough space for plenty of insulation perhaps and boarded out. Need to get some further advice hence questions :-)

Glad I can finally join in at my new house! Been in since last Sep, but the existing garage wasn’t quite up to scratch - crappy prefab, knackered door, faced the wrong way and was on a concrete slab about 18” high with a steep ramp:

Sold the garage for £50, buyer dismantled it. Meanwhile popped in planning for a garage 2.5 cars wide by 1.5 cars deep (approx 8x7m); has to get planning permission as we live in an AONB.
Foundations went in today:

More to come as the build progresses!
Well it turns out I’m pretty bad at updating threads... but better late than never. It’s mainly up now, door is on order as are the windows and personnel door. I’ve got next week off to do some painting so will take better pics then!https://flic.kr/p/2fnx5Mx

First pic is of the centre ‘atrium’ where there is room (width and height) to fit a scissor lift or 2 poster (with a Velux above to provide extra light):

Second up is a picture of how it looks now, with cladding mostly on and the front slates added:

Skoda for scale! Next up is to order floor paint - any top tips, I’m looking at epoxy from Resincoat or Watco...
