Just saw a 350Z in my local newspaper for £8000, went on autotrader to find that for 9-11k you can get a good one....didn't these cost well over 25K new?

I am surprised they have gone down so much..certainly tempting at this price bracket.

the 350z is honestly the sttest car I've ever driven. hugely over-rated. if you want to be dragged along by a headache that feels like its going to high-side at any moment, by a jet ski and drive it on ice.

I quite liked mine a few years back, but I agree Nervous, it was rather twitchy in the wet to say the least and the build kwality was shocking.

I did something similar when I saw a cheap RX8 in the paper the other day... turns out for 8 - 9k you can get a very nice one indeed!

thats a better bet, except instead of an engine it has a petrol-powered water-wheel.

lol smile

I guess high teen's millage and 400 squid a year road tax is quite off putting. Shame as it's a lot of car for the money especially as the one I saw was a low miler 54 plate.

I think it's that they're starting to get into chav territory, which is having an effect on prices. Kind of self-perpetuating, as then they get even more into chav territory. I was quite tempted by one a year or so ago, but increasingly see them with naff bodykits....kind of put me off, which is a shame, cos I've always really liked them.

I quite fancy one, the price is good. I just don't think I could live with 24mpg that parkers claim they make. I figure that would work out to £80 a week at the pumps if the fuel goes back up again and double what I currently pay on road tax. At 8K for the car it seem like good money for the performance just the MPG doesn't seem too acceptable.

they're going to be expensive to tax very soon, that's the main reason one of my friends is citing as to why he hasn't bought one yet...

thirsty GTs or overly heavy cars are plummeting. 3.2 V6 Alfas are getting cheap too. But RX-8s are silly cheap because they drink more than their bhp would suggest - my friend was offered a BRAND NEW loaded 231bhp car (pre-this years facelift) for 16k!!!

Kind of agree there. Alot of the Jap tuning houses are latching onto the 350Z and producing some great kits for the 350Z. Of course there are ones that are absolute gash.

The 'worst' car you have ever driven? Harsh one thinks - but I guess it depends on what cars you have driven.

That has got to be the worse relation to a car such as the Z ever. I owned one and although I was dissapointed with it, it certainly isnt as bad as you make it out to be.

Chances are it's a low spec grey import rather than a UK spec car, possibly as old a 52 plate?
When they first went on sale in the UK the base model was £24k.

But yes, like all 'gas guzzlers' the 350Z has taken a hit on used values over the last few months due to high fuel prices and the impending road tax hike. (As well as cheap imports arriving from Japan, futher depressing prices)

Really, that is interesting, I have had an eye on the price of 350z recently, especially as Evo magazine seem to rate them very highly!

Have been considering chopping my driver in for one in the not too distant future.

How did it compare to the Cerb you used to own?

What exactly was it about the handling that was so bad then?
