The opinion is fine. The sensationalist, Clarkson-esqe way it has been put across is why its been ridiculed.
why? I can say whatever i want however I want, cant I? some of the contributions to this thread have proven that.digsy said:
BTW the seemingly valid question of what sort of company the 350Z keeps down at the bottom of the worst cars you've ever driven list seems to have been side-stepped. I for one am intrigued.
honestly? its not been side stepped at all, and Id love to make a list of th5 5 worst handling cars I've ever driven, but I dont have another day to waste here justifying myself to people I dont know, who cant accept that my opinion differs to theirs. gotta pay the mortgage and all that.it has been fun tho'

An interesting read... i've enjoyed some of the banter too.. but where the credibility of Mr Nervous falls short IMO, is saying the 350z is the worst handling car he's ever driven. He's either not driven many crappy cars, or he's enjoying yanking some chains! Maybe the 350z has been the most disappointing to drive?
Guffy - you're bang on there mate. He may not like it (ok fine) but saying it's the worst handling he's driven smacks of trolling/attention seeking. Edited by Guffy on Monday 8th September 22:25

You know it isn't a bad car - when people make dumb comparisons with tanks. because that's exactly the sort of objective comparison that one makes when choosing a car [not].
yes. thats exactly what I said. those were my words- dont buy a 350z, buy a chieftain tank. you guys are the best

In fairness, that's arse.
I drove your Sagaris. And that makes my top 3, along with a Proton Jumbuck and Hyundai Terracan.
ETA. In fairness the CityRover was quite bad. So we'll call it top 5 to allow for some contingency.
to you. Im pretty sure we established that we look for in a car (and pretty much everything else) is hugely different, so by logical extension our worst 5 cars are going to be different too, arent they? not arse, just dis-similar.I drove your Sagaris. And that makes my top 3, along with a Proton Jumbuck and Hyundai Terracan.

Fwiw, I had a fun afternoon in a terracan once, which is more than can be said of my sagaris. That'll still be in my top 5 even after we've all only been allowed to drive G-wiz's for 20 years.

Haha! I had a nosey at this thread earlier today and it was only a few pages long... how funny! Can't people just have different opinions? Me, I change 'em all the time!

Just saw a 350Z in my local newspaper for £8000, went on autotrader to find that for 9-11k you can get a good one....didn't these cost well over 25K new?
Chances are it's a low spec grey import rather than a UK spec car, possibly as old a 52 plate? When they first went on sale in the UK the base model was £24k.
Regardless of some peoples opinions it is a lot of car for very little money. The 350z has always proven a great deal of fun to me and has done everything I have asked of it. Being both comfortable every day and fun for when you want to play on that stretch of private road we all own.
I admit I am yet to drive anything like a 911 or above but coming from, as most people, a back ground of hot hatches and the mundane shopping trolleys the 350z is a wonderful car to drive/own.
Id.
Fifth Gear rated it as their favourite car and best handling. Definitely not a car to under-estimate or over look. And as to the "chav" comment - how many do you see on the road, let alone being driven by a chav.. not many. Quite a distinct and exclusive car and very very good value. The latest 309bhp engine is very nice and very quick. Of course there are always going to be faster and better quality cars - but you have to pay a lot more too. But it's an all round good package nicely priced. You can get a 2007 model now (the latest 309bhp engine) for £18k. I'm all for depreciation so I can finally get mine I'd rather have one than a new Mondeo or Vectra which rediculously are similar money to a two year old 350Z - its no contest.
