That milk float one could be true - I drove electric tugs around an airport for years and the torque can make them tail happy in the wet (high pressure tyres and rubbish suspension 'helps' - that and trying really hard wink ).
Actually, I think it is possible! I had a crazy ex when I was a student. She had a job making and delivering sandwiches in Swindon and used to deliver them in a Puegeot van, one of those small, all tin deals. She was in a temper (as usual, hence the crazy...) came zooming into a roundabout and went properly sideways... hardly on purpose but it still happened and someone with a touch more skill could probably have held it and kept it going for enough time (a whole roundabout felt unlikley though!). I reckon you can drift anything as long as you are good enough!

p.s. she later said at how impressed I was because I didn't turn a hair when the great moment took place. Truth be told, my brain was so busy stting itself that my body totally failed to react!!!

There's a guy I know who adds spcific numbers to his bullst boasts to make them more believable, by that I mean he would never say that he once drove at "over 150 mph", it's always an exact number like 157mph, even though it's getting obvious that he makes it up on the spot.

The recent ones have been "The Mazda RX3 was a four door saloon car which has 252bhp as standard, but it only weighs 512kg and could beat everything in its day, it would be faster than your car".
"The reliant robin three wheeler can do 0-60 in 5.2 seconds"

He's so far out that it's just not worth arguing. He also insists that the Nürburgring is pronounced Nuremberg ring because it's in Nuremberg. Next time I'll remind him that I have access to the internet biggrin
Its actually in Nurburg, a totally different place to Nuremburg!;)

Years ago I worked with someone who had an 'M3' and would park it in the most awkward of places, just so it could be seen by everyone. But it wasn't. It was a poverty spec 316 Coupe with some new badges on. He also wore a fake Gucci watch and would always tell people what brand his 'designer' clothing was with a slightly louder voice than normal.

From that day on I've hated BMWs. I know some of them are good, very good in fact, but the damage has been done I'm afraid!

Someone I used to work with claimed they had a friend with a 1.2 clio and that they swapped the engine for a 911 turbo. Even if it had been true it would have been fking stupid.

i work at halfords, so get alot of it there. lad came in asking for some help with an induction kit, not wanting to waste a professionals times i say i'm the man for the job and will help him out. (yes i do ahve an induction kit on my car, but only because the noise makes me grin like a small kid at christmas (and its probably reduced the bhp but i dont care)) Anyways, he's asking what sort of stuff to go for, so i point him to the chavtastic chrome sheilded induction cone (ripspeed ofcourse) and some ducting to get a cold air feed to it. anyways, he;s asking me questions, im enoying myself bullstting him and then he goes on about an old metro he had. and how that had a pipercross induction cone on it. he goes on to tell me a garage mechanic told him he had to take it off as they etra torque it was creating had stripped the splines of the driveshaft or some such bullshit.

needless to say i stayed very quiet, sold him his ste and let him on his way

Three spring to mind

1) Friends brother has an ealy 90s Nissan Pulsar (Almera) 1.6. With a WRX bonnet scoop "wrx running gear with a supra turbo", 17' chrome wheels at the front with 14' steel wheels at the back "because it's got so much power I use it for drifting" (it's fwd ffs) and has a competition winning sound system (4 6x9 "kingwood" speakers he got off ebay running from a cheap sony head unit with no amp).

2) guy I met in London on holidays from Perth (Australia). Had a Ford Falcon XR8 (large V8 sedan from the mid 90s). Not a bad car. But apparently it was running a nitro feed, supercharger and "full weber carbies". He went very quiet when I asked him who converted an EFI car to run on carbies.

3) Wasn't me driving but a tool of a friend was driving his Honda Civic hatch (no vtec y0) and talking about how much of a weapon it was and how no car could match him at top end or on twisites. Another friend has a debadged e36 M3, and was in my area. Organised for him to pull up alongside my other friend in his Civic. Destroyed him time and time again. When asked what mods he'd done to his M3 my friend just answered "oh it's just a stock 318i with a M3 bodykit" and drove away

Was amusing at the time

I over heard him telling someones else he had a fiesta that was fitted with a cosworth engine...that was FWD
You mean like this one a few of these about
How did they do that?
May be wrong but I think that one was done by DJ Motorsport. Can't remember the details though.
I think that they use a lot of Mk5 RS2000 running gear as the 16v engine in that (I4?) was essentially a pinto block converted for front wheel drive. (waits to be corrected)

It'll be good investment!

It won't depreciate much!

Two cracking lies that I have fallen for - and more than once if it's the car I really fancy!

Love what John Dodd did to wind up Rolls Royce.

For those that don't know he phoned RR claiming he'd like to buy their new 200mph+ car he'd just been overtaken by.hehe
