What's the best/worst car related fib you've ever heard?

This clip reminded me of an old work colleague of mine.
We were in his Cobalt Blue 106 GTi and he was ragging the tits off it around the town (bearing it mind it's pissing down with rain) on our way to get some lunch. I made a comment regarding that his car was 'fairly nippy' and he, leaning forwards in his seat hunched over his steering wheel said, "yeah, no one can touch me in this.. M3's, S4's..." I yelp, "stop!" noticing cars stopped literally yards from us, he slammed his brakes on, we went sideways, mounted the curb and hit a newly planted tree! His attitude completely changed from this chavish 'mr big' I am to a "Oh dear". Fortunately the tree hit the rear quater otherwise I'd have been in some discomfort!!!
Watching him picking up his Peco big bore exhaust out of the gutter in the rain is a memory I won't forget too soon!
Good news is that he had to go on one of those driver improvement courses! The tree didn't make it.
