Im going to be the little tw@t that sits with my exhaust right next to them, revving the nuts off my car when someone drives past
And every time a G-Wizz or Pious drives past, red line it just to make sure!Gun said:

What if a lorry is heading in the opposite direction adding to the noise?
Thats a good point, how could they determine which vehicle is causing the noise if there are two going in opposite directions? To answer your question i'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to develop some software that can identify individual noise sources. However as a counter a white noise emitter would also cancel that out [anyone more teckie pls correct me!]
I would be fairly screwed myself with this due to the performance exhaust, I like to think that my exhaust is a warning to school kids crossing the road etc... that way they can HEAR me coming, isnt that what that adverts all about on TV lately? Kids listening to stereos and not hearing cars as they go to cross the road?
So they would prefer more dead kids and quieter cars... oh and money!? Or have I missed the point?

Unfortunatly most 'tuning enthusiasts' put 'sports' exhausts on their cars/bikes as their first 'upgrade', despite the fact that they have no idea wether it actually improoves their stboxes' performance. It just sounds louder. This puts them clearly in the league of antisocial retards imho.
You have to keep in mind that this originates in a country which creates laws specifically outlawing "hooning":

They can put one ouside my house.
40 limit A-road & I'm really P'd off with being woken up at 2:00am by some eejit going past on thier bike doing 90 in 2nd.
Nothing against loud exhausts as such, but but how about keeping the revs down dring the wee small hours?
PS should these come to the UK, I'm going into the manufacture of side exit exhausts - on the off-side, just like my kit-car has!

If this deals with those little sts that put thoose ridiculous U-bend exausts on 49.999999cc scooters that make such a horrible noise, I wouldn't be against it.
