Sorry, did you say forty five grand?

You could buy any manner of non-fake cars for that (F355 or 456 please) AND have enough left over for a non-fake actual penis extension.

Forty five grand.

FFS.

Now I can understand people making their car look like a race replica, say Porsche RS, but really, is someone going to put a load of fibreglass onto a boxter, no matter what the cost is and try pass it off as a GT??

I hope youre putting alot of money aside out of the earnings, Im sure theres a few PH'ers from Porsche on here and I'd doubt you have the copyright licence to make a replica.

That second one looks nothing like a Carrera GT!!laugh Mind you the first is only mildly similar.

There is something not quite right about your "Lambo" cant quite put my finger on it something to do with proportions, Roof line, Engine bay, wheels look to far into the body work, those seats, the door hinge amongst other things.

Still no denying its a decent crack at it, but the moment you start one of these things up you WILL look like a fool. unless you have actually got a decent sized and sounding engine in there.

45K!!!!!! Christ one a bike!

£45k for the CGT replica?

You could get a car for that.

Fair enough, there must be a market for this if you're still in business but I do think you're wasting your time on the puritanical shores of PH. You'll be hard pushed to find someone willing to part with £45k for a CGT rep on here IMO especially when you consider what that money can buy you in current climate. (997, GT3, Turbo 993 or 996. I could buy an AM Vantage on a 55 plate or I could buy a Fezza 360 or a 550, even a Diablo VT if I was that desperate for attention (and that's a real one)).

The replica car scene aint my bag but I do have an observation that could be deemed constructive: Wheel offset, it's always wrong and lets everything down, why is that?

Another thing, why do these replicas always have the god-awful roof that serves no purpose but to enhancce the out of proportion-ness of it all. If they stuck to a simple canvas roof, it wouldn't look anywhere near as awful. Still ste, but not AS bad.

Thats how they should sound and look!

I'm sorry, but I just can't see why anyone would want to do that to their car.

Not my cup of Tea at all, Doesn't even look that much like the real thing, Sure you missing quite a lot of width, length and hight from the real thing?, and in no way should you be using the GT name on it!! There is no doubt a lot of work gone into it but I would only ever consider it as an option if the other choice was Aids.

The only difference between this and the 355 MR2 kits is the age of the donor car.
Spotted this while looking about, At least these look like the real thing, Again not sure why you would bother because the moment someone realizes you will look like a cock.

OP if people are paying for this fair play.
well you will hate our other car

what people pay is there business as the donor cars start from around £4000 on ebay with damaged panels so a complete car could be as little as £15000 if done at home, up to one like mine on 2003 3.2s with all the porsche (not mr2)extras pcm,sat nav stabilitymanagement etc etc.Worth only what some one wants to pay but insured with specialist company and valued at £45000.
The CGT looks crap.

The Lambo looks good. Infact, id drive it.

Also the people that replica owners are trying to impress arent worth wasting the time and effort on and those that know what its supposed to be will laugh their bits off.

Looks like a job lot in the background of the Lumbago kit pic.

Are they made by the OP or are they imported, you can buy a GT1 or Murcialago kit for $5k - theyre all over YouTube..

Looks like theres several companies doing this, even someone making a XK8 into a vanquish!

It seems that the people on this forum(those that knock others) are so blinkered that they have there little tuned cars, with £5 body kits and bolt on chrome they cant see the workman ship involved in such a project, the paint probably cost more than most of above mentioned yet they put ther 2p in and think they are qualified to comment on such skills that it took to produce a car like this!!
You haven't really been on here much, have you? rolleyes

You do realise that YOU'RE the one with the "little tuned" car, "£5 body kit and bolt on chrome", why can't you see that?!

I honestly think you're 'Carrera GT' is possibly the most hideous thing I have ever had the misfortune on laying eyes on, and I honestly don't think I will sleep tonight after reading this thread.

Everbody can see the hard work you have put into this 'car', but let's face it, you've totally wasted your time. It's pathetic, really. I wasn't even going to bother commenting until you made the stupid comment above, Jesus Christ..

Be honest, it's you, isn't it?

Holy shcensoredt.

Gonna have to consider getting out of the Boxster sooner than planned if they're already falling into the hands of the chavistas. Not six hours ago did I see the first chavtastic TT and now we have this abomination.

Note the geezer on the right desperately trying to get off camera before being associated with that heap of tat. hehe
