Not knowing Mrs Fubes personally, the other way around does sound like a somewhat safer option. wink

Do it, she'll love you for it.

Or possibly give you the silent treatment for the rest of your married life before divorcing you & feeding you to a bunch of penguins.

Hope the food's good! My previous trips to Holland have included an element of "trial by cheese and ham". smile

What's the formal booking procedure??

1. Dink
2. Klassiekerrally (not sure in what car though...)
3. GTRene
4. 900T-R
5. Euroboy (probably the Abarth 500, but maybe the Spider again)
6. René 130i (loves rain)
7. Neluhz
8. Joop!
9. 5 USA

I'd like to be there but I'm not sure yet:
1. Touching Cloth
2. Angrys3owner - that just had tooooo much going on to make it last year.
3. arebrec
4. Falcemob. Does it rain much in Holland in May? I may need to dig out my wet suit.
5. ironictwist
6. Medic-one
7. shirt

I think last year I paid about 50 EUR for the trip (including polo shirt).

Ferry will be around 50EUR retrun, 100-150 EUR of gogo juice, hotel 100ish I guess and the same again for food?

It was a fine trip in 08 and a great selection of cars - a trip across the border into ze Fatherland will make it even more interesting.

Currently swapping around my work roster so that I can make it for both days!
Oh...Nothing stupidly expensive then! That gets the green light from me thumbup

'De Gulle Waard' is good, it's across the street where Tom lives. Also 'De Nachtwacht' in the middle of Winterswijk is very good, but small-ish.

Don't know if a bbq can be arranged...

................................

Sunday afternoon BBQ: starting at 3 then, convienient for our Brit guests. Winterswijk is a 2+ hour drive to Hook.

If not I'll consider Leusden tapas place Parador to make a 30 Eu p.p. menu: awesome place. And near the hotel. I'll try to arrange a discount for the hotel as well of course.

More of that later.

About costs:
All is free, I don't charge for the organising. Shirts or caps or bodywarmers or whatever in December. Think 25 euros per item.

I like to ask a donation per person for the Cystic Fibrosis organisation NCFS. My youngest daughter has CF and I make an effort every now and then. This seems like a good opportunity to get their offertory box out. Money is needed for R&D. Also 2009 is the NCFS 40th anniversery. A good cause run: 25 Euros p.p. would be awesome!

Wherever I go the sun shines so bring your sunglasses. To mr. Falce: top down!
