Bert lead the way to our DSR-startingpoint. I had to guide some thirsty wheels to the nearest gasstation.

Sophie decided to start the run in the hottest of cars: Brians Ultima.

What do we have here: beefed up Holley fed 383 with a steel crank up to 600 brake and an epic 7K soundbyte.

Anne joined Ben in his classic Japster.

DSR veterans Eric and Jan followed in the barking ST. Sunday I found out what a car that is!

Another 6 litre but this one supercharged: Ollies Monaro Monster.

Steve and Sally in the auto C5: "When I decided to go American I had to go all the way."

Next: all teamed up.

Throughly agree with reckless.
Hilary says I should change my PH name from smallgun to slowpoke, when are we going to get a car with a bigger engine and can we do it again next year.

Greg: how brave are you to call yourself smallgun!?

I must say I don't have that much snaps of your car, you came in late or left early: LOL!

Did you guys see the vids as posted?

Sophie: please group your vids and post them here OK? They are worth it, fab stuff.

That was an excellent trip! And we had a great extra day in Amsterdam on Monday, taking the train from Amersfoort allowed the car to cool down for a few hours....

Our pictures are mainly very similar to others already posted into this thread so I will just add a few more,

starting with the moments of anticipation

then the relaxation afterwards...

and planning the Subaru for next time.

Team up at the Fokkerstraat:

Arjs flaming red Tuscan convertible drew a crowd. Anca in matching jacket.

The only diesel of the bunch: Euroboys 2.4 spider.

Not only quick cars that morning: 174 brake 1 litre MV Agusta superbike joined the pack on the first etappe.

Cloggy Klaas, Johnny Tipler, Steve, Anne, Andy, Aram and Ben San licking the Tusc vert.

Hilary's a bit envious about mrs Cloggy here. Great and fast 4 litre Chim was no match for the Mercs relaxed pace.

Eric - you might consider changing your PH-username having sold the SAAB - had me as a passenger in his 4.3 Chim on the first part of the trip: what a sorted machine that!

Bert explaining his delightfull black Cob rep to Greg, Brian and Steve.

Steve explaining the drawbacks of a manual here hehe

Erics top effort to make and hand out his stickers: it made us feel even more together.

More . . .

More Ultima then Brian wink

What I found extremely funny about Brians car was the rocker switch indicator!

Our DSR was in exess of V8s this year wink

Anne couldn't hear a thing of what I was saying to her: earplugs!

Jeanine, Elco, Farah, Alex and Andrew.

Another V8: veteran 4.2 Cerbera.

Elco, Skyline and Eric. Keep us updated about that '71 baby Elco.

Ollie: "Just try if my Monaro fits you Eric."

Big grin: "R&R!"

The supercharged 500 brake 6 litre: what a sound!

Next: 1st stop and a snap of Greg!

Nah, I've been 900T-R (not only here) for the best part of a decade, changing it would only lead to confusion and we don't want that. biggrin I'm not like Daewoo - pump 67 million euro in making everyone aware of their name and then undo all the work by saying 'Tadaa! We're now Chevrolet'. wink

I had a most wonderful day, hope everyone enjoyed the run as much as I did. Thanks all for your great company and companionship. thumbup

Nice 'road to the Berghotel' Ollie!

Eric: we could swap names wink

Speaking of Eric: I took off in his uber-sorted 4.3 Chim for the morning-route of our tour.

From my home-village Leusden we went straight through the meadowlands. Via some nice twisties we drove through woods - north-west border of the Veluwe - and into the river forelands of the IJssel. The IJsseldijk was a hoot! Entering the woods again - Salland - and finding our lunchspot in Lemele.

About Erics car: from the first metres I could tell this was a good one. The suspension was 95% from spot-on, the engine willing to rev and torque came in a flatline. Congrats Eric on your car: the best one I've been in so far. Apart from a few minor things it's perfect. Look at it shining in the 12 o'clock sun!

More red:

We started as the leaders but we were not the first to arrive. Of course we missed one or two instructions and hey: I needed to pee . . .
Arjs and Anca's tasty Tuscan stole the show in the TVR catagory.

Not too sure on the Jap section of our posse:

I have a soft spot for Bens Supra but old skool Jap-beef appeals.
Please tell us a bit about the engine of this baby Elco.

Besides it fits more than twice in the Ultima or Cob! Cooling down from an exhilarating run.

Dirty laundry, clean cars . . . Sunday evening the spiders front was bugs allover.

Erics fine fivepot gun.

Greetings from sunny Lemele!

Greg and Hillary took it easy - they were probably the only ones without having made one single mistake - and always came in with huge smiles.

More of the Lemele lunch.

We must confess to making a few errors, but thanks to Dinkel's detailed instructions, Hilary's magnificent navigational skills and an old steam driven GPS that doesn't reroute every time you go off the programmed route we knew within a hundered yards or so that I had gone wrong.

hehe

Everybody loves the Cobra. In the early morning Andy woke up the hotel by revving it 'easy' after startup: "I need to do this . . ."

Joop!s fine 325i Coupe 'bugged' and next to the CanAm cooling down.

Massive tires, massive lump of - early 70s - Yank iron. As in Andies Dax this engine originates from the early 70s thus avoiding the contemporary MOT regs.

Big Holley fuel-splasher on top. The car sits higher than you might think. No problem with the exhaustpipes scratching speedbumps here.

"I really don't like cars at all."

Lunch at Lemele's only(?) cafe. At least the only one with a decent parking.

Lots of cyclist around. They did not spoil our run thank God. Bens Supra, Johhnies 260 presscar and Steves auto C5.

Attracted to hop in this one . . .

Andrew, Alex, Farah, Eric, Brian. Did we have lunch or what? The kroketten were super here.

Greg - obviously just arrived wink - joining the happy bunch. Johnny thinking where to find decent Dutch scenery for his Lotus-write-ups. Let's see . . .

Next: stepping out the DSR for a few hours because I know the area quite well from here . . .

ETA: forgot to paste the last snap!
