The last car with pop up headlights?
Discussion
I hate popup headlights...
My mum's Volvo 480ES had them, and when the motor in one of them broke she was too tight to pay the £100+ to fix it, so made the dealership jam it in the up position
Maybe 4 or 5 times per journey, people would point and laugh at the winking car.
All very traumatic when you are 13 and dying to be cool.

So what you're actually saying is that there is still, technically, but tenuously, in production. In that case...
Ladies and gentlemen we have have ourselves a winner, the DeTomaso Guara.

Iain, What is more there is a photograph of it sat up on the blocks in build in the previous DTDC magazine to support this claim which I will see if I can get copied and posted Ladies and gentlemen we have have ourselves a winner, the DeTomaso Guara.

Unfortunately nothing has actually happened on it for over three years but there she sits pop up lights and all.
That said there is an international convention back at the factory in May 09 to celebrate the 50th anniversary so a good few from the UK will be going over the Alps. Personally I’ll be taking a Transit and hoping we can get access, I’ve been quoted £2500 for a windscreen off the former German concessionaire!
Just one more for now but will add so more later on.
She will be featured in a car magazine in the next few months, more details to follow.
Oh yes, a quick Guara Factoid, it got to 144 mph at the last VMax and was utterly bloody terrifying

I spell it with two and people always question it saying it should be just the one.

1998–2003 (Ferrari 456M)
1976–2004 (Esprit) Last Esprit rolled off the production line on February 20, 2004
1997–2004 (Corvette C5) October 1, 1996 – July 2, 2004
So the Corvette wins.
Think I'll hang on to my MR2 for a few more years. I'm sure pop-up headlights must add some value to any car.
