21 year old herbert in 1986, Southport I think. This was my second Manta, a 1.9SR Berlinetta. I wrote off a bright yellow, identical one a few months before with terminal oversteer on the Macclesfield to Buxton Cat and Fiddle.

The yellow car had a high lift cam, Weber 32/36 DGV, K&N, big bore EARS exhaust and ported EARS cylinder head. It made about 125BHP which was quite quick enough for the blonde streaked pansy you see in the picture.
