There is a Robin Hood that turns up at local car shows which has Lotus badges in every conceivable location including the steering wheel and valve caps. I haven't got the heart to take photos of it.
I now have a weird image of a chap in green tights with a bow, covered in Lotus badges.
He would look less ridiculous than that car does!

Was looking for a daily runner last year, BMW 325 or 330i coupe. Found a good looking car that ticked my boxes except it was adorned with ‘M’ badges. No thanks that was enough for me not to bother looking at it. Just embarrassing.
Could you not have just taken the offending badges off?
Although I'm sure he could have easily, I reckon it says something about the mentality of the previous owner...

This annoyed me yesterday morning.

I mean...it's annoying!

Like...the one a few back of the old Ka with 'RANGE ROVER' on the back - now thats funny because it's obviously the owner having a laugh. Thats fine! Good, even!

However, when you see something like the below...i dont suspect the owners are trying to have a laugh. I suspect they are a moron.

YOU MUST NOT PUT AN M BADGE ON SOMETHING THAT IS NOT AN M!!!!! PLEASE!!!

I mean! What are you wanting people to think? "Wowwww, look at that M.....116i....???!!!

This caught my eye. Not strictly misbadging as it does say Jaguar in the middle.

Totally don’t get it. Why would you do that? Because you want to tell people it’s an Aston but then admit that it’s not?

That looks like a nod to Tickford to me, if so it's a rather nice touch.

Probably covered every other day on the M Badge thread but ///M is now just a trim level, the above car is a 116i Sport, which in itself seems a bit of an oxymoron but it would have left the factory with more ///M badges on it than an E30 M3 did, the owner sticking one more on the boot is hardly a surprise or unusual, I remember the good old days when to even buy an ///M badge you had to supply the dealer with an M Car chassis number, now they mean nothing.

I gather that "MSport" was a trim level....with different badging to the 'M' as seen above.

Has that now changed?

Here’s one for you all.

I’m not a car salesman but see a lot of cars day to day at work. Today, I saw a Golf GTD Estate, ‘65 plate. Beneath the GTD badge was some DUB related thing. But, that is not all.

Every single speaker grille (8), and the black trim beneath the Nav screen had a small (and genuine looking) ‘Bose’ badge.

Now, if you’re not aware, Bose don’t make hifi systems for Volkswagen. The high end hifi is Dynaudio.

Of course. Now it makes sense. Way too clever for me.

Okay, I'll buy it. What does Tickford have to do with it?

I'd presume this badge

But that is substantially different to the "Aston Martin" style.

There is nothing particularly wrong with a winged Jaguar badge... eg

but the "Aston Martin" wing style is all wrong.

I'm just as curious to know what the registration means? G18B RA?

History of coach building Jaguars. Although not the current XK, of course, so not a whole lot to do with it I grant you.

No it wouldn’t.

A 116i Sport would not have had a single ‘M’ badge on it from the factory.
