Not misbadging as such, but magpie badging

This poor thing was covered in stick on chrome crap, badges up the wings, the lot. I've found it's almost exclusively old blokes (55+ say) who do this; were they traumatised that their Cavalier only had 11 badges on the back and not 12 back in the early 90s, while Nigel in the Accounts got the full 12 badges because he had ABS??

2nd photo a bit crap, but you can see the wing badges and stuff on the bonnet too.
You miss the point. The owner is probably taking the piss out of those who take the piss over mis-badging & thus he has the last laugh on you all.

No pictures but I saw an 'RSQ8' last week. While I'm no expert I can't seem to find such a car, it comes back as a Q8 TDi when checked. It's a shame because it's a nice car (if SUVs are your kinda thing) it's been kitted out with ABT stuff and has had a few quid spent on it, but fake badges cheapen it a bit tbh.
Audi produce an RSQ8 which is a 4.0 twin-turbo diesel which may mean that it had the correct badges on it.

The Sssangyong was actually badged as a Mercedes in some markets, I remember passing one in Sydney and being a bit confused before googling it.

Nah - that's an SQ8.

The only RS Q model to date is the RSQ3.

When I was 21/22 I had a phase 1 Clio 172, which I stuck 1.2 badges on. Does this count for this thread?

I’ve seriously considered 220d badges for the barge.

Yeah the only one I could find is a SQ8 and that's only just coming out now.

That Golf GTtdi could be market correct. I worked in Holland years ago and one of the bosses had one. Grunty, for sure.
Company car tax reasons probably.
