At least he hasn't stuck M badges on it...
It is actually a 118d 'Sport', so although it looks absolutely ridiculous, I guess its not actually misbadged. Do BMW put a Sport badge anywhere from factory to show its a 'Sport' model?

No they just put little M badges in various places.

The only badge I recall is a BMW Sport badge on the door sills. M badges were for M Sport cars only.

I think with the F-series generation the 'sport' and 'luxury' lines were introduced (at least on the 1- and 3-series?) and they got an (optional?) badge on the front wing. Same place they now put M-logos as well which look hideous.

So much mis-badge in one place.

M badge isn’t remarkable in itself.

Sport is ambitious.

Hmmm.

I always debadge my cars, so much cleaner looking (and no more snagged cloths or wash mitts!).

Some of the cars with odd badges I've seen are just so tragic.

yes

There's something about a top end/performance car, especially if it's quite subtle, with no badges. Those who know, know.

Can't for the life of me understand the folk who misbadge cars though. Again, those who know, know. Those who don't, don't know any difference.

I debadged my X3 30d straight away, I'm a bit the other way compared to most cars on there - not bothered in the slightest about other drivers knowing whats under the bonnet, I'd rather it was mistaken for a 20d anyway, less chance of moronic drivers with M Power badges on a 116d SE thinking they can out accelerate me.
