To be fair, it's not the worst mods I have seen. But it's a 320d.

Sooty exhaust tips and a mean diesel roar, king of the road.

Is this a portmanteau to express an admiration for "Fat Asians", or do you think the owner is called "Fabian"?

pretty half hearted effort - didn't even use the AMG badge

Disappointed at lack of 4D plate
But the manufacturers themselves stick AMG and M-Sport badges on all sorts of stty models, so I honestly wouldn’t think this ‘AMG’ is wrong? How would you know?

I think if you’re a car person, you can instantly see that isn’t the correct typeface for AMG.

It’s like some people probably wouldn’t notice if you swapped these two logos, but if you know, you know.

BMW put a small ///M on the wing of M-Sport cars.
It’s a trim level similar to Ghia on Fords.

They never had an ///M on the boot lid.

Little ///M for Marketing.

BMW have traditionally used an ///M+designation for performance cars that are shy of bring a full Motorsport division project.

///M535i (E28)
///M340i (F30)

BMW then madenningly also use ///M+designation for a couple of real M-Cars, but they stopped that PDQ.

///M535i (E12)
///M635CSi (E24)

So officially the big ///M on the boot lid should only be on a real M-car. Unless it’s an E-28 M535i which got the single M.

Clear?

I used to have a 1995 registered BMW with a big 'M' on the boot lid. It wasn't very fast, though...

Sure I said this before, when that post was made. The Z4M has a single big ///M on the back, as well as 2 big ///M’s on the front wings.

I know this is a bit off topic, but seeing this thread reminded me of something I saw on holiday across a patio door:

I guess to stop you walking into it, but other places just had diamond patterns or stripes...not an Audi badge. biggrin

Just seen a Mercedes C220d BRABUS smile The C220d badge is on the left of the boot, but not in the right place, BRABUS is on the right of the boot with black badges to match the black car.

The bloke had the boot open and I noticed it when I went past. A bog standard looking car with small black wheels, red calipers, and big boot lip spoiler like you see on BMW's.

Or is it mis-badged?!

My mum learnt to drive in that car, it's genuine.

Edit, opps just corrected by my dad; it wasn't that one; it was the one Bryan Wingfield was using as a company car.

There’s a C220 CDI AMG with 4 exhaust pipes on my route to gym. Next time I spot the bigger I’ll sneak a picture.

It has 2 proper exhaust pipes, then 2 stuck on cut outs by the looks of it.
