RE: SOTW: Ford Granada Cosworth

Can't believe I missed this SOTW!
Back in 2001 I took my S14 200SX to Performance Engineering for some fettling. They gave me one of these as a loaner for a week or so. It looked like a total shed but it turned out it had been bored and stroked to 3.6L IIRC. To make it look half presentable I took it through a car wash and then ended up doing Sweeney impersonations all week. I really really loved it. There was something surreal about sitting in an armchair and ripping up the tarmac from the lights.
In fact it was this exact car that turned me from the world of Rice Burners to large engined German sofas with slush pumps.
When I sold the S14 I was straight into a C43, then another C43 and now a 211 E500.
Shed of the year.

That's .....not worth the 2 year bump...Top shed!
So much want, yet don't really know why.
Think there are enough of these Grannies still kicking to be choosy though, so waiting for the black/black leather combo to pop up in my part of the world.
Trouble is, all models are called Scorpio in Europe so you really have to do your homework to make sure it's a genuine Cossie!
