The car already has Porsche brakes from factory. Big reds from 993T will not give much performance.
As for the weight, it's indeed too fat. I measured it exactly 1700 kgs on Longacre car scales.
The brakes came from the Porsche 968CS, a car that weighed about 1430 kgs..
RS2 has the same bolt pattern (5x130) as the 964, i believe. 968 is 5x112, like Audi models.
IAE, i never felt that stock brakes are weak for this car. Not ideal, but incomparably better than any other Audi of the same age. They only drawback on my experience is the pricing - 200-240 is too much for a single disk.
Factory brake pads maybe a bit soft, but Ferodos are the best choice for any conditions.

The phone kit has been removed now (sadly as I quite liked it)

Saw this yesterday, stuck in my mind as a really nice looking car. We were talking about the fact that a 14 year old Audi 80 estate can't be worth £15k or so, this one did a fine job of changing our minds.

Suprised it has 65k on it, even though that's silly low the body makes it look like it's been used even more spairingly

VERY nice Mr G...you must be over the moon!

Always had a soft spot for them, and I don't like Audi's as a rule...

Says it all really, I wasn't planning on buying one but today I bought one of my dream cars- an 1995 RS2 Avant.

It wasn't cheap, but it's a very good example with loads of history and a file as thick as a telephone directory, and I am very (VERY) happy with it. I'm posting this from the PH Stand at the NEC so more details and pics to follow ASAP as we are about to be kicked out of the halls.

I'm so pleased with it and you'll certainly be reading about it on PH and seeing it at most of the PH events, to be honest I can't quite believe it yet.

I hope I can get some pics up soon

Incorrect. All modern Porsches including the 924/944/968 chassis run 5x130.

Lovely car and very sensible purchase as I suspect this is one of those cars that will simply rise in value.

Congratulations. Now when that Lotus Carlton goes from my dreams to my drive I will call you up for a race. But being (slightly) more sensible, an Audi S2 coupe is really sticking out to me at the moment, because I can't quite afford a decent Gene Hunt Quattro in red.

what a gorgeous example - nice one!

have to rank as one of THE coolest cars. In that colour, and in RHD you've bagged yourself a corker - maybe you could organise a north wales PH meet in the summer so you can show it off to us up north! Be happy to show you some cracking roads in exchange for a pax ride round the triangle hehe
