Everytime I look at this car it makes me feel about 10 years old.
Me too, and that means mission accomplished for Lamborghini. Making people feel 10 years old is what their cars have always done, and no amount of Audi-fying should change that. As JC once said about the Reventon:"Lamborghini are doing what they always do. Making cars that just make you go wwwwwooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwww!!"

Reventon looks a bit st only parked in a normal street? Eh? What? Its *always* looked st! Especially so to anybody who has worked in the mil aviation industry and fell over laughing at the "inspired by F22" drivel that Lambo came out with at the time.
A standard Murci is a much cleaner design. The Reventon was just a "money out of mugs" exercise.
Couldn't agree more. I was beginning to think that I was the only one who thought that the Reventon looked like an escapee from a Judge Dredd movie. All sharp lines and very angular. Ugh!A standard Murci is a much cleaner design. The Reventon was just a "money out of mugs" exercise.

I was at Symbolic Cars in San Diego last Saturday - unfortunatley the Reventon was at Silicon Valley. I hear it's up for sale at $1.8M. I think the car is just stunning......
They did have enough other cars to keep me interested, however - it's a stunning show room - and everyone is so approachable.
I used to work just round the corner from Symbolic and used to drive past it every day. Great place to go of a lunchtime for a wander round. They did have enough other cars to keep me interested, however - it's a stunning show room - and everyone is so approachable.
I prefer the looks of the Reventon to the Murci personally. However for looks I think the Gallardo has it for me. One day, one day.......

If anyone is ever in the San Francisco/San Jose area I would recommend going to have a look around Silicon Valley auto group, I was there a few months back, in stock in their showroom, they had 3 Veyron's, an very nice F40, more ferrari's and lambo's I've ever seen, lots of Astons etc. Very cool dealer.
John.
Yep they always have loads of nice stuff. Saw the (then) new RR Phantom there before it was on release. Also stay at the Hotel Los Gatos just up the road very nice hotelJohn.

Depending on what frame of mind I happen to be in - I see the rarified people who put-out for one of these either as haloed demigods who have achieved arguably the pinnacle of modern pistonhead appreciation... or alternatively slightly confused suckers who've fallen for some kind of self-obsessed mega prank.
I mean come on - parked next to that lawn... it's just a bloody car at the end of the day. Some wheels and interestingly formed sheets of carbon fibre.... or is it?
How much???!!!
No doubt already on its way to some other obscure climate-controlled corner of the world.
You could apply that reasoning to anything. Afterall you are basically a bag of mainly water. I mean come on - parked next to that lawn... it's just a bloody car at the end of the day. Some wheels and interestingly formed sheets of carbon fibre.... or is it?

The whole is greater that the sum of its parts. Have you no appreciation of art, design? Can you not appreciate the engineering feats? Would you honestly say I have absolutley no more wish to drive that than an old banger?
Each to their own of course.
I wouldn't have one of these....
It wouldn't make it down my drive, over the sleeping policemen or up the slight slope into my garage.
However, I could see the fun in owning one if you happened to live on a race track and were able to book fuel through your business.
Orange indicator is a nice touch though!?!?

You know....when i first saw it on Top Gear it looked fabulous , however as someone stated earlier , parked next to a nicely mown lawn it just brings the car down a notch or two.
If i were on the moon and this car was advertised then i feel thats a more comfortable scenario for this car to be seen in.

Why can't someone make a Revention kit car? Looks like you could make one out of an old Diablo, a hammer and a bit of work metal work.
Like the car, but the price is just ridiculous - should be no more than £30-50k above the price of a Murkyarchapelego. Everything about it looks like that should be the price.
So good to see Lambo making a car that is a real eyecatching sucessor to the Diablo/Countach, but a shame that almost no-one will be able to buy one or even see one!
Lamborghini accounts department:
Reventon ingredients:
Murcy Donor Car £192,307
Panel Beating: £22,506
Bolt on Ducts: £2201 (manufactured by air conditioning company)
Trimming: £4040
FOB price £221,054
Added <<Mug Buyer Premium>> £600,000
Special "Made Up"((Exclusivity Tax)) £500,000
Of course, if they didn't make a low number, and made as many as people wanted, then there would little premium, cars unsold etc - so from business sense it makes perfect sense - you can make the same profit as selling 500 cars, but only actually need to sell a handful to achieve it!!!
