Really like the bonnet slates. The Vantage is a very beautiful car, but I still think the Maseratti Granturismo is the best looking car in production.
The Maser is very pretty, but I can never quite get over how massive they are when I see one in the flesh. ENORMOUS! So,Aston makes a hardcore V12 version of its small and beautiful all-aluminium GT and it comes at 1680 Kg,around the same as the 55k 4WD GTR and 300 Kg more than the Scuderia,GT3RS and the V10 4WD Gallardo Superleggera, all of them with similar power outputs.
Half-baked track make-up(why rear wing is a dirty word among most supercar manifactures?),awkward weight distribution and price and weight almost the same as DBS's.An epitome of poser's car

Why did they tease us with the hardcore 600hp V12 RS and then tone it back so much! It's basically a Vantage with 90 more horse power and double the price tag. That said, I wish I could afford one.
surely the real reason is simply cost. Why develop a more powerful V12 when you can just drop the DBS engine straight in?that said the DBS is already looking short of power for it's price and could do with something nearer 600 bhp asap.
I absolutely love the way the current astons look and I'd much prefer to own an Aston to any Porsche or ferrari, I also love the way they still offer proper manual gearboxes and V12s even though most of their owners prefer autos. I'd love to support a great british marque but for the money I still think both these V12 astons should have something more like the lambo lp640 engine under the bonnet.
Nice car that I would willing hack a limb off to own, but is it the right time to for AM to introduce another model to its range.Seems to me they are starting to have a lot of cars that are competing against each other. If you buy this car chances are you would have been happy to buy one of the existing models.

No, not really - this is the first AM in a long time that has enough enough bonkers appeal for me to want one. OK, it's not that I can afford one anyway...kambites said:

Soo... It's a DBS?
The DBS is based on the DB9 not the Vantage. There's a big difference in size. Don't get me wrong, I like it - but it almost seems pointless. It's not like they don't have a V12 version of a car that looks almost the same.

Yes it looks sweet. But compare it to an M6 and it is way too expensive and wont be any faster.
Not a fair comparison the M6 is horrific to look at and there are plenty of used models under £40K now.P7ULG said:

If anyone says that its derivative, not good looking, not bothered etc etc.....
YOU'RE WRONG! END OF!!!
Get your eyes tested! Now!
Oh come on, there is more than a passing resemblance between the XK8, DB7, DB9, DBS and this one. Design innocation is fairly stale at Porsche, Ferrari, Aston and Lambo. The only attempt at something new is the Ferrari California, which unfortunately doesn't work. YOU'RE WRONG! END OF!!!

Only the smaller supercar makers seem to take risks these days.
Yet I could go out and point out 100 Page Three clones easily in one stroll.......
