It certainly is going to be an interesting machine to drive. 100kg extra over the front wheels isn't going to do the handling many favours, but knowing Astons approach to design this is still going to be a touring biased car rather than an out and out sports car in the mould of the 430 Stradalle or LP560. It should be quick though and is certainly desirable.
It uses a transaxle, meaning the gearbox is mounted in the rear of the car, the v8's was in the front so probs the same weight over the front wheels.

Please who really cares about the wheels, they have just squeezed a 6L v12 into it the wheel designs not a big concern I would have thought. And if you've got a 100k+ to spend on this car pick different ones!

That is a cool car. However, I agree with all the previous comments; the wheels are really chavy and all Astons look the same (and are unfortunately bought by tossers quite frequently). Nice to see they've also included that ridiculous gear-knob that all the magazines have criticized! Wonder if they've done away with the 'Emotional Control Unit' for this one?!!

Better than Kahn(t)s though.

And is it just me or should a 6.0 V12 not be making more than 517bhp? scratchchin

'Fraid not. The slot for it is clearly visible at the top of the centre console...

Looks great! Would want one over a DBS. Pretty similar just hopefully more sporty. I'll be disapointed if it turned into a gt.

So it's £20k (ish) cheaper than a DBS, 0.1sec quicker to 60mph and looks like a Chav's been allowed to 'design' the bonnet and wheels.
Aston, a footballers car you hath made.

That's going to be SO fast.

Love the bonnet slats.
I like it appart from the bonnet slats (too much of them) and the wheels...
Which means I like all other astons better.

Why is Porsche being slayed for it's "lazy designers"?

Can i be the first to say isn't this what the DBS should have been.

It needs nicer wheels, more power, less weight and a much lower price than a DBS.

If they do that then it's just genius.

If they don't, what's the point?

The DBS can have two back seats and looks just as nice.

Actually you'll find the V8 also used a transaxle.

What a boring looking engine.
Great car though.
I actually think that V12 engine looks fantastic. As does the rest of the car.

Utterly gorgeous. Now Aston have stuck a V12 in the V8 Vantage, how about a DB9 with a supercharged V8?

This should go up against the R8V10 in terms of price I would imagine..should be an interesting battle...I'd say they will be very close in terms of performance figures.

Well done, another set of polished alloys which are completely different from the ones on the Aston.

Fail.
