RE: PHers To Get Up To 15% Insurance Discount With Flux
Discussion
Hi Ash I passed my test today and insured my mini with Adrian Flux. I asked about the discount and was told by the girl it had already been applied. I asked how this could be as i had not mentioned Pistonheads and was told it was the same as being in a Mini owners club which i had advised her earlier. This seems a little unfair to me as there is no mention of this on the web page. I was happy with the service but could you look into it and just check this is correct.
Many thanks

Hello Ross,
This is correct, we can give up to 15% discount for owners club members and that includes Pistonheads. Unfortunately we can only apply that discount once per policy even if you are a member of other clubs etc.
Thanks
Ash
Hmmm. Funny that the "quote" I got suddenly already included the 15% discount when I mentioned PH.This is correct, we can give up to 15% discount for owners club members and that includes Pistonheads. It should never just be included, we should always ask when processing the quotes if you are a member of an owners club/Pistonheads which then should apply the discount. The only reasons it may have been included already is maybe if you had a previous policy or quote in which we already had you down as being a member. Or you called from Pistonheads or a different owners club number, this displays where you are calling from on our phones. The clerk may have noticed this and applied the discount automatically. If you don't fit into these categories I can look into it for you and find out what has happened. I really don't see why Flux are still allowed on here. They fking boil my piss.

Was not asked if I was a member of any owners club before I got my quote, then when I mentioned the PH discount it was miraculously applied already.

When I called for a quote, my 15% discount had "already been applied" also.

Hello, This should not be happening as you have described it. If you can PM me you name and post code I can look to see if there was a reason it had been applied or if the staff member has made a mistake. HelloI have come in this morning and my e-mails seem to have frozen in the snow but it should come through as soon as they are up and running. I will get the quote sorted today. If I don't get the PM for some reason I will let you know.

Who's the miserable Scott you employ who I would have spoken to about the new quote on the mini?
Speaking to someone so obviously disinterested and unwilling to help was enough to make me hang up and shop around.
can you inform him that you can transfer no claims between spouses.
I know this as you've done it before for me.
If there is anyone there in that division capable of an intelligent conversation, please let me know before I
renew elsewhere.
Generally you can only transfer NCB between spouses once so this sentence would suggest to me that what he said is correct.Speaking to someone so obviously disinterested and unwilling to help was enough to make me hang up and shop around.

Admittedly it may vary per insurer.
Hello
Swapping NCB over into your spouse's name is something that our insurers used to do but can no longer do so Sean was correct in what he was saying. The insurers would only consider doing it under extreme circumstances. However I can have a look for you at quotes to insure the vehicle in your wifes name if you would like. Due to your details the managers may be able to get a decent quote for you.
Thanks
